"I had a lot of fun fixing my Steam Deck after it fell off my bed and broke a few components/parts. I was even able to upgrade the screen while I was already at it! Just ordered what I needed and got to work. With the easy to follow guides and quality parts, Ifixit gave me the confidence I needed to fix it all and not feel like I had just made a really expensive mistake/lesson (letting it fall off the bed). Thanks Ifixit!"
"I needed a new batter for an old Mac Pro laptop. Ifixit had a replacement that did the trick. Thanks!"
"I pulled my 3DS out of storage to play some of my favorites from the 2010s and its battery was swollen (oh no! Lithium ion!) Nintendo has stopped selling 3DS parts on their website and instead of relying on knockoff/sketchy Amazon purchases I was delighted to see ifixit stocking and selling a legit Nintendo 3DS battery. Shipping was quick and reliable and my 3DS has a brand new life thanks to iFixit. They kept this beautiful device alive and made sure that my hardware remains mine, even after the original manufacturer stopped supporting it.
They even have a detailed technical documentation on how to do it (fortunately this one is pretty simple, but I've seen their other quality tear downs too)"
"I think they should really stress how very fragile the screen is, and explain in more clear detail where the clips holding the screen on are. The little blue plastic are too flimsly and too small, putting too much pressure on one part of the screen to safely remove. Lastly, a video guide sure would have been handy."
"I exchanged the old battery with the new one in about 25 minutes; the guide for the replacement was pretty easy to follow--although they did reorient the laptop after taking off the back without telling the reader to do so. Ideally, no re-orientation of the laptop was needed at all.
Also, the guide just stops after you take out the old battery--not even a direction stating go in reverse for installation, and as noted by others, a little guidance on connecting the new battery is warranted. I did it carefully and quickly; however, I was hoping all would end well while somewhat "winging it.""
"The parts from iFixit are genuine first-party parts at a great price. I shopped around to find the best deal on a new screen for a Google Pixel 6 and iFixit had the genuine Google part for the same (and often lower) price as third-party screens from Amazon (and those sometimes didn't even include the LCD or fingerprint reader, or the repair tools). Add on the great step-by-step repair guide and it just makes sense to choose iFixit."
"I just started repairs with a friend and this company has been the best to work with my reasoning will have to be how great the customer service was. I had got a screen, not manage to not work after shipping and ifixit Fully fixed the problem I was having which surprising speed because of that this is the only Place I get my parts from and just started suggesting it to anybody on my same journey."
"My Apple Watch screen popped out and I lost the clip holding the screen connectors. Electrical tape wouldn’t work, so I ordered this and now my watch works perfectly again"
"Overall, the quality was very good. I wish there was more videos as there was a good video on how to remove the existing battery but there wasn't a detailed video on the re-assembly with the new adhesive layers. I made some guesses one of which did not turn out so well. Overall, the phone works and my wife is happy."
"followed directions. First thing is to get the phone hot and the screen comes off without much hassle. It also helps when cutting the glue. I wish they would have had better directions on the waterproof seals the speaker one is tricky. (one take). The battery on my phone had the worst tape. It would not pull off like the video, it would just tear in small pieces. I first tried threading string behind the battery to cut the tape that didn't work. (Don't waste your time) Finally I went back to getting the phone really hot and applying pressure to the battery. It worked and the battery was free. The tape from apple was impossible to remove so I finally just left it. The "I fix it" battery would not click into place on the connector like the factory one did. I thought I had debris in the socket but when I switched back to the old battery it clicked in. Needless to say I wasn't sure if I would have a usable phone but I placed it as well as I could on the connection, screwed down the plate and hoped for the best. Thankfully it works.
Fun things I found when opening my phone was a loose taptic and a broken logic board connector bracket. I suspect the bracket was broken when assembled since my phone isn't damaged and has lived in a case its whole existence.
In summery the apple battery tape took way too long. If I was to do this again I would skip taking the taptic and speaker out and just heat the phone till the battery comes loose. This would save so much time and effort. "
"The experience was amazing. Both the instructions and the process of changing out the battery of the laptop was quick and easy. The battery was brand new too."
"Fast delivery and excellent product. I forgot to turn the device off before swapping the screen but I could force it off holding volume up and side button. I recommend watching a bunch of YouTube videos to get a good idea of how to do it. "
"At the rate phone screens get broken and batteries fail, I could almost use a subscription of replacements to keep the family smart phones working. Always happy with the replacement parts I've ordered and the prices as well. The detailed directions and photos for the "how to" are so helpful, and the tool kits are great. I'm going to just order a spare screen to keep on hand for the next time someone accidentally drops, steps on, runs over, sits on their phone."
"I ordered a battery for my laptop and it came quickly and works beautifully. Thank you for allowing people to make repairs quick and painless (like it should be!)"
"should come with Adhesive since it is needed if you buy screen to replace it"
