"Received quickly...great packaging...tools were adequate, though suction cup took some effort to keep stuck to screen...supplied my own thin, hard plastic piece to pry screen once it was slightly lifted...believe it worked better than plastic tool included in iFixit kit would have...also, used right-angle support and rubber band to hold screen at 90º throughout battery replacement, eliminating need for detaching screen cables...glad I did, as one of the screws from battery connector clamp temporarily "got away" and was difficult to find...those screws are EXTREMELY small...!!!...removal of plastic protective strip on pre-applied adhesive wanted to pull adhesive off of battery, making for a few expletives...Mfr. could use different plastic that would not present this problem...All in all, a fairly easy repair...would recommend iFixit repair package...looking forward to a rejuvenated iPhone SE!...REPAIR SAVES YOU MONEY ~ REPAIR SAVES THE PLANET!!! "My Samsung Galaxy S8 was showing its age and I wanted to freshen it up a bit so after looking at some of the guides and videos on the website I decided to purchase the battery swap kit along with a new USB-C board/port and AUX port. The entire process from start to finish took roughly 8hrs! Much longer than the estimated time in the guide. The parts took 1 week before they shipped despite a tracking number being made. The iOpener heat pack was completely useless garbage. It did absolutely nothing even after letting it heat up the phone for 5 minutes. Forget that and go right for the hair dryer on hot!

Making sure I had all the right tools was not easy as the comments and guides actually recommended having additional tools to what was included in the kit. The videos on how to supposedly 'fix the battery or swap out other components' end after disassembly and don't show how to put new components back together. Scraping out the old adhesive took me roughly 2 hrs of painstaking work and was the worst part of the fixing process. This is glazed over on all the guides I read. I would really like to see a full video where all components are replaced with new ones and the full process is actually documented. Pulling up three different videos (one for each component; battery, USBC, AUX) and the various guides was a mess. Next time I will put the $110 toward either a professional to fix or a new phone because now after all my efforts my phone is still no longer waterproof! The stickers sent are bad. There is no reason why you should have to blindly stick them on the rear cover where you cannot see if you lined up the contours of the stickers with those of the device. Luckily I bought spares of all adhesives and I used them too. The battery adhesive is a joke and didn't stick well to the battery or the tray it was sitting in, hopefully the covers and rear cover adhesive will hold it in place sufficiently.

Overall would not recommend attempting any of these fixes because it is more work than its worth honestly especially for the cost and the information gathering. It is not as easy as just buying the battery change kit and finishing everything up in an hour!"

"The keyboard feels sturdy and works without issues, but somehow they put two & but no ^ on the keyboard. Both the 6 and the 7 key show the &, but of course if you do shift 6 you still get the^. Since I usually don't look at the keyboard when I type I didn't notice right away, but my wife just pointed it out. As I said it works great, but this seems to have slipped by quality control."
