"The main reason I bought it was because it had a way to heat up my phone glue in a safe and secure manner. However, this was not effective and failed to retain heat. The tool kit has some really nice screwdrivers that made it easy to unscrew the very small screw inside my phone though, very sturdy and convenient to use. But the iOpener is a terrible product and wasn't marketed accurately."
"I bought a replacement screen for my iPhone and it looks and performs excellent. The tool kit I bought how ever didn’t come with the correct screw bits so take care should you purchase a part and tools as I almost stripped the screws in my phone. "
"With a good "how to" video running on my PC it was a fairly easy process to do the repair. The angst comes from not knowing where connections are behind the digitizer, so one must proceed slowly and carefully when removing the damaged part. Don't be in a rush and take breaks now and then. The tools I used were: a mechanics' pick (Mac PS22A)--to gently pry and prod, a tiny philips screwdriver--which I magnetized by stroking it against a strong magnet (some of those screws are really tiny, you don't want to drop them), a heat gun--for softening the adhesive, and lots of thin guitar picks (for wedging the damaged digitizer away from the frame). Result: a like new iPad!"
"The tab tore off the old battery and a hair dryer works great as an option for loosening the adhesive strip holding the old battery in place. I did notice slight differences between the video and the written instructions but nothing that caused a problem. Thanks to all who contributed to this and the rest of iFixit's guides for making this a better world."

"Recently replaced a lightning connector on an iPad 4th Gen. iFixit had the right kit (iOpener, etc) and the quality was great and the fix went perfect. The only glitch was we needed the adhesive strips for the back of the screen and had to go to a competitor to order it. iFixit didn't have it in stock. Not a fan of ordering from multiple places to fix a single issue but other than that, the experience went forward without a hitch. The tutuorials were spot on. "

"I had to repair my iPhone XS Max screen/digitizer. I ordered the screen, 2 waterproof seals, and the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit with express shipping. My package arrived as expected on the Tuesday following my late Sunday order. I was able to immediately start repairing my phone. The toolkit was very well organized and in a compact “carryall” case. I followed the step by step guide on iFixit website and had no issues except the one I expected to have. When I went to put the waterproof seal in place my first attempt I stuck the seal just out of place and had to resort to my second seal that I ordered for this reason. Overall the process took maybe an hour and the tools made the task easy. I would definitely recommend these tools and parts. I’ve replaced screens on older phones with cheaper tools that didn’t really work that well. I’m glad I ordered these items because they will come in handy for future jobs like this."
"Unbelievable. The worst experience I've ever had working with any retailer. I clicked on a Google Ad for an entire Fix Kit for my Macbook Pro battery, I was then brought to a page and purchased the product on the page.
When I received the product it was missing the fix kit portion and only came with the battery. I then realized I ordered the battery only and not with the fix kit. Silly mistake on my part, since I saw the original picture on the advertisement was correct, but the product that was on the page apparently wasn't.
Instead of sending me just the fix kit portion for an extra fee, they told me I would have to send the battery back out of pocket, then re-purchase the battery with kit. Simply because they don't have a SKU/product ID of just the fix kit.
What a crappy experience. Will never shop here again nor would I ever recommend them. I feel like I was bait & switched.
Why would you not be able to send me the kit!? So stupid.
You can find the same batteries online for cheaper anyway. Dumb mistake, but they were unable to retain a customer for future purchases."

"My wife's 2015 MacBook Air 11 made a popping sound and the screen went dark. The Apple folks found that the battery had expanded a bit and they thought the logic board probably went as well. I ordered the battery first and replacement went very well but still no go. So I ordered the logic board and followed the on-line repair manual to get that installed. It lives! I commend your author and your company for excellent photographs and directions. I had purchased a earlier version of your Pro Tool kit so I had exactly what I needed to the replacement.
