"I sent in my Xbox on August 4 to have the disc drive repaired/replaced. I personally knew what was wrong with the xbox without diagnosis and bought the repair before I sent it in. Somehow this was new to them and gave them consent to keep my xbox without contacting me of a problem; via emails, phone calls, whatever. they held onto my xbox for an extra week before I became curious and initially sent them and email. With no reply after 3 days, I called them and went through the sales department-- which for most of the time I was on hold (appx 20 min). They figured out the problem and sent out my xbox the same day. I recieve the xbox 5 business days later, entirely different... It came back with no hard drive (20 gb) and wireless controllers no longer work. I called them today, august 27 08', again through sales, and this guy says that "naw, no hard drives lying around in the tech department." In utter disgust, I hang up the phone and have to deal with the punishment of my bad karma. "
"I would urge people to stay away from this company. I had my xbox 360 sent in for a repair, they said it would take a week, it took 3 weeks. They sent it back to me, I turned it on, and I got the please play this disc in an xbox 360 and RROD. So I was told to send in a trouble ticket, they sent me a call tag. A week later, which they never told me they had fixed it, I asked them if they fixed it. We can not duplicate the problem. Please keep in mind I purchased a 1 year warrenty and RROD package with the new cd drive. So the guy, Rod, states that I must pay 19.99 to ship the item back to me. I told them that I have only had the console for about 2 weeks and I can't play it and you can't fix it. Anyways, when they shipped it back to me, my harddrive was missing. I talked to them on livechat, since you can't get ahold of anyone on the phone, and they said they could not find the hard drive and they would ship out one they have laying around.
I will warn you, if you want a nightmare, then get whatever you want from them. Otherwise don't waste your time. Just send it in to Xbox and get it down right. They don't fix anything anyways."
"I can say this is not going to be a good rating. I bought an ipod in May for my son. This was to replace one that had been stolen from my home after someone broke in. I got the ipod on May 12. When I opened the box I was expecting an refurbished 30g ipod with video. That is what I got, but I didn't think it would be so scratched up. Well, being that it was refurbished I decided to live with it. It went out just before July. I called talked to someone and was emailed a shipping lable. I sent it back, they sent email stating they had received it. A few days later I had not heard anything so I called as usual I was on hold, after 11 minutes it hangs up. Several times this happened. I tried leaving messages, I tried their live chat(always offline) finally wrote a review and someone actually emailed me. Still didn't tell me about the ipod. Finally get someone online with live chat, she tells me my warranty claim was denied due to customer misuse. I asked her to explain that. She said the face plate was deeply scratched and dented and had wood chips in it. I told that is not possible since the ipod I sent back was scratched lightly when I sent it in with no dents and had never been opened. We don't even know how you would open it. She then asked if I wanted it sent back , that she would add the charges to my cart and I could pay for it. Then they would send my ipod back(still broke). I now wonder how many people have actually bought this same ipod. They have a great scam going. They sale it, it goes out, you send it in, they make up some excuse why the warranty won't cover it and then charge you more if you want it back.If you refuse to pay shipping charges they get to keep it and do it all over again. Don't buy from IREPAIRSQUAD they are thieves."
"WARNING - This Company is a scam. I purchased an XBox 360 from irepair squad and paid extra for an extended warranty this past June. First, the AV HD component cable would not switch between standard TV and HDTV. I thought no big deal I can buy a new one for $20, but in less than two weeks from receiving game console it stopped working with the three red rings. I finally received a shipping label to send back and was informed that I voided the warranty because the warranty seal was broke. My first response is why would I try to fix or tamper with it since I paid extra money for the extended warranty and second, how could I prove this was not the case. Then I realized this is a scam. They sell you consoles that don't work and then they don't honor warranties. Buyers beware...do not purchase an XBox 360 from irepair squad.

"I am hesitant about companies with whom I have little experience. IRS had a great price on an xbox360 package. They weren't able to get it shipped out prior to the 4th. So one of the online salespeople upped my shipping to next day air. Very nice of him. This can be a great company if they will fix their phone service. Was never able to get through to them. Luckily, online chat worked. So far the xbox 360 works and works well. I will chalk this one up as a success. Thanks"
"On Thursday April 3rd, I made a purchase for an Xbox360 from www.irepairsquad.com for $239.99. Along with the Xbox purchase I ordered their protection plan for an additional $29.00. Friday morning I drove down to their location. I was able to locate the place by finding the door which had a small sheet of paper taped to the window which had an irepairsquad logo printed off of an inkjet printer. Upon walking in I got looked at by three men who looked at me as if to say, what are you doing here? I held out my printed receipt and said "I am the guy who is here for the Xbox". Someone quickly snatched the receipt from my hand and said he would be right back. After about a five minute wait he comes back to the front of the store with a beat up Xbox package which looked like it had been smashed in a box crusher and held together with a pound of clear tape. I get home and to my surprise I open up the box to find a really dirty console and a controller which had yellowed and reeked of smoke. I plug in the console and turn it on. It boots up and the dashboard is displayed. Everything looked good upon first inspection. Then I attempt to load a game and oh no the DVD drive did not open. It made a clicking noise and was stuck shut. I called the local number for irepairsquad. I told the guy on the phone that the Xbox they sent me home with was having issues. Luckily I am somewhat local and within a 10 minute drive. This got me thinking how unfortunate this would have been had I ordered this online had them ship it to me and now would have to spend my money out of pocket to ship it back. I then drive back down to them and hand it to the guy who gave it to me in store. I stood around for about 10+ minutes and finally he comes back out and says here you go try it out now you should be all set. When I arrived at home I hooked this console up and again it booted just fine and the DVD drive was now working. I then went to insert a game into the console. The game booted up to the intro screen and menu but then immediately froze. So I had no choice but to power down the console. I shut it off and turned it back on and I got the dreaded 'Three Red Rings of Death'. So now I know that these guys are just 'fixing' Xbox’s which should be scrapped then re-selling them. I called them up again and spoke to a woman on the phone who after telling her what this console was doing said "oh my gosh, ok hold on one second". She then had me transferred to the guy who I had been dealing with the last time I took it when the drive was broke. He says I am so sorry man. He then said I totally understand if you would just like a full refund.
So I hoped in my car and took my third trip down to the store. They gave me another Xbox and told me this one should work. To my surprise it was able to play a game. Everything was fine except it would not allow me to login to xbox live (after creating an account). So I took the Xbox in again (now my fourth trip) and handed it to the guy in the front. He tells me ok he will be right back with it. They take it to the back and he comes out about 5 minutes later saying they could not replicate the issue and it worked fine for them. I then told him well it does not work for me I am not satisfied and I would just like to be refunded. He immediately says 'Who told you, you could have a full refund?". I pointed to the gentleman who said I could have the refund. They just blew it off and said well there is a 20% restocking fee if you want to return it. I then decided that it was not even about the money anymore and just wanted out of this whole terrible situation. So I end up taking the 20% loss (which he did not even figure right). He charged me 20% of my entire purchase (with the year warranty and tax)! Stay away from these guys!!

"This company is fantastic. I was looking for an alternative to Apple's top prices for repair of my daughter's iPod. The company's site is totally intuitive. They even provide a mailing label for you to send your product to them for a free diagnosis. As promised I received an email in a few days with the diagnosis, and cost of repair if accepted (I could decline service if I chose). Within a week we had my daughter's iPod back, in full working order.
What I really appreciated about working with this company is they delivered quickly and efficiently on everything they promised. Unfortunately, this type of service is not always what you get online. I will definitely recommend iRepair Squad to others."
