Excellent 5***** customer service

"I am a customer of Igourmet.com for several years. I have my last order of cheese delivered in late by FedEx: no more dry ice bag, all melted and warm packages if cheese....It was not the fault of Igourmet.com that sent the parcel on time....but the carrier did not delivered on time.
Called Igourmet.com customer service, sent pics by email of the parcel and cheese condition (soft cheeses were melted).
Within 24 hours, the company refunded me in full.
I wish they switch quickly to UPS that is more reliable for perishable goods.
Igourmet has an excellent high quality of cheese from France and other countries.

I would give it zero stars if I could!

"I would give zero stars if I could. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered turkey dinner for two for Thanksgiving to be delivered the day before Thanksgiving for my sister and her husband who are both ill. Today (two days before Thanksgiving), they sent me an email saying that they didn't receive delivery of the Thanksgiving dinners, so they would have to cancel my order! What can you get two days before Thanksgiving? Nothing. I will never order anything from them again. My sister was so excited about this when I told her and now I have to call and tell her they cancelled. I could cry."

Poor Service. Horrendous Delivery

"As others have said, "Good Food. Poor Service. Horrendous Delivery." You will pay for expedited delivery but you will not get the order timely. Emailing customer service is fruitless."

HORRENDOUS SERVICE PLEASE NEVER ORDER. YOUR GOODS ARE SHIPPED AFTER YOUR INDICATED DATE

"So I gave a big order for a birthday party. After reading their site which claimed that in these times shipments could come a day or two late, I kept a margin of two days and ordered. When my goods did not arrive on 3rd February I called them. Kourtney answered and said it was on the way and not to worry it would reach as there was overnight delivery. The Fedex tracking number they put out on the site incorrect.
I called again today on the 4th and spoke to Patrick. He told me there was a state of emergency in Pennsylvania and they were unable to ship on the 1st or 2nd they shipped on the 3rd 7.46pm the day I was to get my order. When I asked about the tracking they said it had been given incorrectly on the site, When they gave me an alternative, I found the shipment had been given after the time I spoke spoke to Kourtney in the morning!!!
They had not even bothered to put a mail saying it was delayed due to the heavy snow (are things immobilised for 4 days?) I wonder whether the snow prevented them from mailing me or contacting me - I would have made alternative arrangements. So inconvenienced to find I have nothing for the party and have the inconvenience of having to dash out and spend more time and money!!
When I asked them to recall the goods they said they themselves couldn't reach FEDEX. When I asked why I wasn't contacted they said they were trying to get my shipment out. They couldn't even bother to reach out when sending the shipment a day after the scheduled date of arrival.
Many better sites to shop from I promise. I was beguiled by the website and selection. Please save yourselves the bad service, indifference and inconvenience.
Finally when the shipment arrived we found that two out of the three cheeses had been substituted. I had asked for brie and goats brie along with the other stuff for baking. While they shipped the toppings for baked brie, they gave some awful cheeses as substitutes. One of them was not even goat. If one orders goat it could be to be dairy free!! Surprisingly even after they had shipped and sent me a shipping confirmation, it still showed me the original cheeses I had ordered. Perhaps I didn't read their fine print on substitution, but they should give an option of not shipping if they don't have the stuff, or at least informing us when they have shipped rubbish. Why get a shock when the consignment arrives late and then there is rubbish?

Horrendous Customer Service

"Horrendous customer service. Ordered a gift card and then dead silence. No email. No calls. nothing. I contacted customer service to inquire. The response was vague, demanding more information for some sort of 'verification' of I have no clue whatsoever. A few days pass and still nothing from their end. I finally reached out and cancelled the order to which they promptly complied. Prejudice or complete incompetence, it was my first and hopefully the last experience with Igourmet. What a complete waste of time."

AVOID IGOURMET Horrible customer service, lied about Express Shipping

"I’m appalled at the bait and switch. I made the huge mistake of ordering a $150 igourmet Christmas food basket for friends with “express shipping,” on December 13. It was only after I completed the transaction that I was informed that “express shipping” would take several weeks. Well, it’s 2 weeks already and not a word from igourmet that it’s even been packaged, never mind shipped. At this rate it will arrive mid January and the house I sent it to will be almost empty.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, AVOID - do yourself a big favor and use Harry and David or some reputable company.

I used to LOVE this company. What happened ?

"I’ve been dealing with Igourmet since they started business. Wonderful products, promptly delivered and great customer service. It seems like maybe the ownership has changed hands ? Recently, I’ve had a string of very bad service. A gift basket to a grieving family that took a week to deliver, a gift card that I couldn’t use and just this week, an order of cheese that arrived warm after 4 days in transit after I paid $25.00 for express delivery.
I think I’ll be switching to Philadelphia DiBruno Brothers.

dynasty jasmine rice

"i recently purchased dyansty jasmine rice from igourmet september 17th on ebay 40.00 plus shipping this is not jasmine rice even though the label looks like it came from thailand it is not jasmine rice it has no smell!!! its horrible i would not even feed it to my cat!!! i served in the u.s govt for 40 plus years and even lived in the phillipines for 4 years back in the 80,s i only eat real jasmine rice or wild rice!!! i dont appreciate being scammed!!! i here they are selling fake rice every where even plastic rice !!! it must come from china!! This is the second time i have been billked sams club did the same thing too me dont buy jasmine rice unless you can inspect it and smell it in person a world of scammers they have lost my buisness !!! "

New management, or not.....I wouldn't buy their moldy cheese and broken crackers again.

"Every single time I've ordered from them, or received an order from someone else as a gift, there is a problem that is temperature or mishandling related. This time one of the cheeses in the basket I ordered for my aunt to send to my bf's family actually had MOLD on it, leaving us to question the freshness of the entire basket. Also, there were two boxes of crackers that were smashed to crumbs. My bf would not give the cheeses, fearing they would end up being bad, or, worse yet, turn moldy before his family opened or ate them. They have SEVERE TEMPERATURE ISSUES when shipping. NEWS FLASH: CHEESES AND MEATS NEED TO BE KEPT AT THE PROPER TEMPERATURES, OTHERWISE THEY PRESENT SERIOUS HEALTH RISKS!!!!"

Ruined a Christmas tradition

"I ordered cheese two weeks before Christmas for our annual fondue tradition. I specifically requested to be notified if they were out of the cheese, but no one ever called. On the day my cheese was shipped, they had replaced my cheese with other cheeses that were completely unsuitable. When I called they told me they were out and offered nothing more than an apology and a refund for part of the order. They ruined a 25 year tradition and offered nothing extra. Horrible customer service with them counting on their customers being idiots about replacement cheeses."

Poor customer service

"As soon as I saw the offer for honey on Steve Harvey show, I bought 3 jars! I realized the coupon code for 10 percent off wasn't applied so I went on live chat and (Sandra) ignored my question and I never got an answer back!!! Really?? Then I emailed them what happened and I'm STILL waiting for a reply! Not a good first impression!! Stay away!!!!!"

Good experience, iGourmet is under new management

"Everything was as it should be from ordering to product quality. Happy with the experience. Sometime in January 2018 iGourmet was purchased by a national specialty food distributor (Innovative Food Holdings). While I trust the poor reviews are accurate they are from a period prior to the acquisition so I suspect that Innovative has worked to resolve those issues and make it a truly professional run business."

Fantastic Cheeses

"I ordered a 3-month Cheese of the Month club subscription for my husband for Christmas. All deliveries came exactly when expected and were well-packed in a small styrofoam box with a freeze gel pack inside. At first I was disappointed because the types of cheeses we received weren't very unusual or fancy - things like aged gouda, gruyere, parmigiano reggiano. I could buy those at the local supermarket. But when we tasted them, they were the best cheeses I'd ever had! We sample cheese boards at restaurants and cheesemongers frequently, and I can say without question that IGourmet sent some amazing cheeses. We'll be extending our subscription."
