"Avoid at all costs. False advertising, unethical scammer. This is a small local car stereo installation company named "River Oak Car Stereo", that is pretending to be a electronics part supply distributor.
It took over 2-weeks to receive my order for an item that their website said was in stock. It's obvious that they carry very little inventory and place their order to buy the parts only after they receive an order that they need to ship. The shipping time for them to get the part, 2-days or more for their processing, then shipping time for you to receive it. Total time for my order to arrive was 14-days. All because they are not really a distributor that caries inventory, even though their website said that the part is in stock. Installer.com is only a tiny retail store front that installs car stereo's.
When my part finally arrived, 2-weeks later, it was defective. I went on their website to initiate an expedited return and discovered it was not possible. My installation job that has already been delayed by over a week due to waiting 2-weeks for their part will now be delayed another 3- weeks while my defective part is mailed back to them, they then order a replacement and wait to receive it, and then they mail it to me. The total time delay to finish my installation would be 1-month, which was totally unacceptable.
After 3-phone calls to the company I finally got through to the owner, Eddie Runner. I explained to him that by installation job could not wait three weeks for a replacement part, and I asked him if the part could be expedited since his company sent me the defective part. He said that there was nothing that we was willing to do.
This being the case I had no choice but to purchase the part from another supplier so that I could complete the installation that was already weeks late. After doing so I proceeded to return the defective part for a credit, only to learn that this scam of a company, named installer.com, doesn't accept returns, probably because they are only posing as a distributor when they are really just a small retail installer. Installer.com is not a real distributor and they don't carry a distributors inventory.
I returned the part anyway because I could not use their defective part and typed a note on their Return Authorization website demanding a refund, regardless of their no return policy, because it was their company that was negligent. I didn't here from them for another 3-weeks until I finally received a replacement part in the mail September 28, which I did not ask for, and no longer had a need for. They completely ignored my written instruction. This mom & pop company practices deceptive, unethical, business practices and should be shut down by the regulators. Avoid at all cost.

"Listen here please. I am almost sure that the positive reviews about this joke of a store are the employees or friends because this place doesn't do ANYTHING correctly. I ordered a harness a couple months ago which was supposed to be in stock, 3 days go by and still no shipping info, no update, no communication at all, but the money surely was taken from my account quickly. I had an install date 10 days from the date I ordered from these jokers, so I sent them an email asking about my order. NO RESPONSE! I finally called and was told the item was not in stock and they had to order it. 4 days later and they did not even order it and never told me anything. I had to cancel my install because these morons have no idea how to run the mail order part of their awful business. Fast forward to March. I tried to order a harness from another mail order harness store, but they were out of stock. I decided to give this pathetic business another chance, but this time I called to see if it was in stock. Some moron assured me it was. I placed the order, they took my money, and again 3 days later and no shipping info. I sent them another email, again NO RESPONSE. I called them the next day and they said it was not in stock!!! REALLY! Again, I had to cancel my second cars install because of these dopes. I called installer to cancel my order and the hick girl that answered the phone said she had my order in her hand and would cancel it and refund my money right away. 10 days go by and still no refund, no email, nothing. The dopes did not even update my order on their ugly looking webpage so it still said processing. I called again, spoke to dumb, who passed me on to dumber, who passed me on to dumbest, who finally said he would issue the refund. 5 days later I finally received it. I should have listened to all the negative reviews and I should have done my homework and ordered from a reputable business. Get me once, on you, get me twice, on me. Well, it is on me for trying these dopes 2 times."

"Web page I ordered a product from espoused "Satisfaction Guaranteed. 30 day returns for this product". I found out later upon inquiry that by "returns" they meant "exchanges". Would have been happy to pay restocking fee and return the product but don't need another product at this time.
