"Ordered a laptop battery online through what seemed to be a legitimate battery store called battery-store.co.nz. Paid by credit card. Was sent order confirmation but this came from 'batter-ystore.co.nz', not 'battery-store.co.nz'. Came with a Hong Kong postal tracking number and a link to Hong Kong Postal site, together with reassurance that a delay of a few days was normal before the tracking number would be recognised. That was a week ago, and still not recognised! They claimed they were selling batteries from Ecsem Industrial Ltd! This has to be a SCAM!!!"
"Purchased a Sony Vaio battery from the US branch of Ecsem, laptopsbattery.us in March of 2010. The price at that time was US$52 with US$10 shipping, apparently shipped from their New Jersey offices.
Eight months later the battery failed and they told me that they would replace the battery if I sent it back to them, in China. From my location in California the least expensive shipping would cost almost as much (US$42) as the purchase price.
This is not a good vendor choice unless you plan on never having to return an item."
