"I have an HP2055DN laser printer which I determined probably had a bad fuser based on the symptoms exhibited by a printed sheet. Before diving in on the disassembly, I viewed about every Youtube Video on the subject. Also used a digital camera to record every disassy. operation. All went went well until trying to remove each cable connecter from their respective sockets. The cables would not release from the sockets on the circuit board without carefully working a pick between the connector and socket assembly to loosen up the interference fit. After prying, I was able to grab each cable assy. with nose pliers and with considerable force, pull each of them free.
The rest of the disassy. proceeded ok. With the fuser removed from the printer, I was able remove the fuser assy. and pull off the old fuser film (found in several pieces on the roller). Applied the silicone grease. 1/2 gram on the roller surfaces before gently installing the new film. Note: several youtube videos had the experts install the film on the tube without lubrication. Do not forget to lube the fuser film roller correctly before installing the new film. Google this as there a video showing how to apply the lube on the roller. Reassembled printer and worked fine right off the bat! Success! 5 Stars for saving me from buying a new fuser assembly. Would recommend buying from this company. As they delineate on attached paperwork, you are on your own (i.e no instructions on how to do this). However, if you're pretty good with tools and mechanically inclined, you can do this film change without a whole lot of difficulty.
