"On 8/24/19 I placed an online order for over 500 square feet of Engineered Vinyl Plank (EVP) flooring. You CAN NOT receive an online order confirmation number unless you first submit payment for the order. I received online order confirmation #10300363 indicating that $1737.36 had been billed to my wife's VISA account. On 8/28/19, I received a voicemail message from Nick at Lumber Liquidators in Clinton Township, MI indicating there had been some online processing issues but that my order was in stock and now ready for pickup.
On 9/7/19, I made arrangements to borrow my son's pickup truck and offered to pay him $.25/mile as his lease was already over his contracted miles. Upon arriving at an almost empty store and waiting almost 20 minutes for someone to wait on me, I was informed that I still needed to pay for the flooring. Upon showing a printed copy of the original online receipt showing I had submitted payment via credit card, I was informed there had been a computer problem and that Lumber Liquidators had never processed the payment.
IF THIS WAS THE CASE, THEN WHY WAS I INFORMED THAT MY ORDER WAS OK AND READY FOR PICKUP AND WHY DID I RECEIVE AN ORDER CONFIRMATION # STATING THE CHARGES HAD BEEN APPLIED TO MY WIFE'S VISA ACCOUNT?
Since the original order had been processed under my wife's credit card, I was unable to confirm at the store whether or not her account had been charged and couldn't contact her as she was volunteering at a charity golf outing for BIAMI (Brain Injury Association of Michigan).
In summary, I wasted my entire afternoon borrowing a vehicle and incurring time and expense due to the incompetence of Lumber Liquidators.
When my wife returns home this evening, I am going to do my very best to talk her out of the flooring she so very much liked and convince her to purchase flooring from a different company!
NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING LUMBER LIQUIDATORS TO ANYONE I KNOW THAT NEEDS FLOORING!

"Won't buy anything from LumberLiquidators again! We had used Schon Butterscotch Oak for 1/2 the home we've been remodeling, went back to buy more and found they had completely changed it! Tongue and groove reversed, boards are shorter, wider, and the finish is completely different! We couldn't use what we had with the cheaper quality new version, so we were forced to buy more just to finish the room. The finish is so thin, you can scratch it off with no effort! Original boards were up to 8ft long, with large assortment of lengths. Made flooring easy! New junk is 4ft max, with very few shorts and mediums mixed in. Last box had several with cut ends- Just plain Junk! All done shopping there."
""I remodel homes and buy product from a number of national companies, (Home Depot.. DalTile...etc). In all cases when a product is ordered and not exactly what is needed I am charged a restocking fee (sometimes I am graciously allowed to reorder at no penalty at all) and proceed to buy what is exactly right for that particular project.
Today I spoke with a Lumber Liquidators supervisor (Holly). I am sorry to report she was one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my 30+ years as a professional. She made it clear I would under no circumstances be allowed to return one of the three products I purchased, even though I offered to pay a restocking fee.
This was my first and clearly my last buying experience with Lumber Liquidators. I advise you to consider the majority of great US companies who offer a reasonable exchange/ restocking service/policy. But unfortunately, Lumber Liquidators is not one of them.""
"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!After documenting several issues with a floor purchased by our contractor for a renovation we were given a "Too bad for you" reponse. The veneer on a St. James Collection, Rosewood, floor is pitting and waring away. There is also visable scratching throughout the whole surface. There is no reasonable explanation for the poor wearability of this less than a year old floor. We have no kids or animals to account for these markings and we have a paved driveway. The contractor found several boards in a box that did not even have any laminate coating on them all!. Our 15 year old laminate looked better when we took it out than this product does now. We shudder to think what it will look like in another few years. We followed all care instructions for this floor and currently the only solution I can come up with is to cover it with area rugs and mats. There was a 30yr warranty that obviously is nothing but a sham, bait and switch offer. Both the contractor and ourselves were responded to with a big "Oh well. Learn to live with it". Please save yourselves from this insensitive, irresponsible company and go elsewhere for your flooring needs. Even if it seems you are saving money, both the quality of their product and customer service will cost you dearly in the end. Run!"
