"I have purchase the same mailbox and post twice. In both instances there was no way to purchase the newspaper holder that allowed the mailbox to be mounted parallel to the support bracket. Last time I had to drill holes in the mailbox to mount the mailbox to your post. The mailbox and post were not cheap . The quality is good but not providing for mounting the mailbox as the drawings show is nonsense. Customers should need to modify the mounting bolts holes to match bolting on the post. Flag lots on a cul-d-sac don’t have the space to mount the mailbox /

"I started looking for the 20-slot USPS compliant mailbox 4C surface mounted unit. Since their literature was not completely clear about the USPS compliance, I called to discuss. The rep who answered was really helpful and advised me to talk to the local USPS to verify the suitability, which I confirmed with the local postmaster. Based on that I placed the order, but did not realize until a week later that this unit was not "off the shelf" but rather was being built to suit. Another call revealed that it would be ready about 4 weeks after placing the order. Around that time, I received an email from the carrier with the delivery for the following day which happened as stated. It would have been nice if it was not such a short notice, but rather a few days' notice. After all I had it installed, and the USPS placed their locks, and it is now fully functional. Another great functional product.
