"I was looking for a meal with an abundance of vegetables and decided from the cover "photo" that this would be a good choice so I bought the MarieCallenders Creamy Chicken and Shrimp in a Parmesan Alfredo Sauce. When I opened the box I was very disappointed as it was 90 % noodles and very few veggies. The picture showed 4 pieces of broccoli along with what looked like yellow squash. There was one very very tiny piece of broccoli and about the same size of yellow squash. There were a couple of very small shrimp and several small pieces of chicken. Even after I added a cup of peas I had it was mostly noodles. After I ate my peas, the tiny veggies in it plus the pieces of shrimp and chicken I was still hungry. I ate some noodles and then tossed the rest in the garbage.
I doubt I will ever waste my money on one of these kind of dinners again. Shame on you for misleading the customer so badly! Virgie Mayer"
"Marie Callenders is the only chicken pot pie I will purchase. the pie with white meat is usually very good.
This time the white chicken meat was so grisly that it was not eatable, not one but 3 pies were this way.. I thought maybe just one happened to be that way.
I was very disappointed in the quality of this meal. Hopefully this can be remedied.

"I bought for the first time Marie Callender's pastry pie shells and I love them. They are not the thin pie crusts that you usually get when you buy a frozen pie shell. These pie shells are nice and thick and have lots of flavor. I will never make homemade pie shells for my pumpkin pies at Thanksgiving. Will only buy Marie Callender's pastry pie shells. Loved them."

"I buy these dinners all the time. I notice a decline in quality in pretty much every meal I have tried lately. When you buy something over the years and love it and then gradually start to notice subtle changes. Whoever is in charge of cooking needs to learn the recipes."

"I purchased the Honey roasted turkey and smashed potatoes and vegetable (carrots and broccoli). For the price I guess I should be satisfied, but i just remember Marie Callander's meals being as close to homemade as you could get. After eating this meal, I believe a hot dogs would have been better. Disappointing with a bad after taste."

"I have been a fan of Marie Callenders for years, I will be 71 this month on my Birthday, Tonight, as Safeway had MC on sale @$1.99 I got 1 of my favorite, that is had been 1 of my favorites, the large Chicken pot pie. I must say If I were Marie, I would be using the whip on whoever is doing her cooking!! The white meat was so grisly, I had to spit it out, so I can not handle gristle or fat in my mouth!
So needless to say, Marie, you need to be checking out who / and why there are so many chefs in the kitchen. They are not doing your name and once wonderful food products any good."
