"This guy is a crook! He has failed to complete my order after after 3 1/2 months and continually ignores my emails. I spent 140$ dollars on a hydraulic press which was to be shipped in 3 different boxes. I received two of the boxes but he neglects, for whatever reason, to send the missing box. After intially making him aware of this issue he sent a package containing items that i already had received. I returned that box and again received that same package several weeks later. Now i am stuck with this incomplete press that i can do nothing with. After many attempts to resolve the issue maxhootue has neglected to make things right. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with him!"
"His ebay auction clearly stated "IN STOCK AND READY FOR QUICK SHIPPING". Yes, he did have a disclaimer on his site, stating that at times, it might take up to 6 weeks for delivery. Yet, on this specific auction as stated, the item was "IN STOCK" and ready for quick shipping. I could have ordered the item from Harbor Freight Tools... but they were on backorder, with no estimate of when it would be in stock. So, I paid about $20 more, and bought the auction. The day after I purchased the item, the ebay status changed, showing the item shipped. I received a bizarre email, stating the item shipped, and the email also had disclaimers that the item may take 6 weeks for delivery. So, to recount... LIE #1 was that the item was in stock, ready for shipment. LIE #2 was that the item had shipped. Two weeks and two days later, I contacted "MAXHOOTUE". I demanded tracking info, or a refund. I received responses from "MAXHOOTUE" that stated he just found out tha the item had shipped yesterday, and he gave me a tracking number. LIE #3 was that the item shipped yesterday. In fact, it did not actually ship for two more days, according to the FedEx tracking info. LIE #4 was that the item was shipping from "Granger Iowa". In fact, the item was "drop-shipped" from harbor Freight Tools in City of Industry, CA. LIE #4, and a few of the other lies, violate ebay terms. I filed online complaints. After additional interaction with "MAXHOOTUE", I followed up withebay via telephone, filing another official complaint. I also noticed that, in addition to my issu, he had done the same thing to another person, who left comments stating his displeasure.
DON'T BUY FROM MAXHOOTUE. If you do, and if you get the same treatment, contact ebay customer service and file an official complaint against him. Mention that there have been other complaints filed. Hopefully, they will get rid of this crud."
"I purchased a fence charger from Maxhootie on Ebay 11 16 10 it was defective. After three Emails to him he said he would replace it if I returned it. I sent it back 12/31/10. After five Emails asking if he had received it I heard nothing from him. I filed a complaint to his local BBB, He finally responded claiming he never received it and that he had emailed me and told me so. I never received any emails from him after he said he would replace it."
