"I've been purchasing from Monoprice for quite a while. My initial thought was that these products were going to be "cheap knockoffs" however I have been pleasantly surprised with everything I've purchased. All products have been great quality, they work well and the few times there has been an issue it has been resolved quickly and to my satisfaction.
The majority of purchases have been cables of some sort: network, optical, or HDMI. They all work well. Based off of my experience with the cable purchases I decided to try out other items they offer, including switches, IP cameras, wireless adapters and many more. For the most part I have not had any issues with these products.
I have used their live chat system multiple times as well as their e-mail. When using the live chat, the person who I spoke to was knowledgeable and was able to provide accurate answers to my technical questions. When using their e-mail support I experienced the same level of service.
I have received one defective item in all of my purchases (it was a $15 item and I've spent hundreds). After doing some basic technical troubleshooting with Monoprice staff, it was ruled the item was defective and a replacement was sent out.
Now to some negatives about the company.
I'm located in Canada and Monoprice ships from the US. The shipping rates to Canada are atrocious, generally 25-50% of the overall purchase price. To top it off, the companies that they ship with have their "service fee" when they deliver the goods. My last order was around $200, and total shipping costs ended up being $70. I would like to see more reasonable shipping options. I like the option of paying more to have it within a few days or the week, but I'd also like to have the option to have it take its time for a fraction of the cost.
The other issue I've noticed is the grammar and spelling in their communications and documentation. This is what concerned me when I originally purchased products from them. I think the slang term for what I've read is "Engrish". It's consistent with someone which English is a second language. Having said that, while the language isn't perfect I don't believe I've ever had a difficult time understanding what was being communicated.
Overall:
I'll continue to shop from Monoprice. I love their products, I love the prices offered and I love the support. The only thing that holds me back from purchasing more items from them is the international shipping."

When notified of the problem, their front line representatives and supervisors are unable to do anything. They had the audacity to suggest that I should pay a fee for them to correct their error.
Apparently, the only thing I could have done to avoid this problem was not shop at monoprice.
Edit: After insisting they couldn't help me, Monoprice eventually came back and solved the problem. I am updating this review accordingly. I am still dissatisfied that they gave no indication of being able to assist me until after I had disconnected from their chat services, but appreciate that they came back and did the right thing."
