"I purchased from NetCD largely because they offere internet banking. This is my preferred method of payment, and one I use often for online transactions. However, netCD has proved to be slower than any other online vendor I've dealt with in processing a straightforward transaction. Despite having made payment early on Wed. afternoon, thus ensuring that the money went into netCD's account overnight, my order still shows as "awaiting payment". Not only that, but there has been no communication AT ALL from netCD. I even tried sending a text to the number listed on the website, to no avail.
My bank's site shows that the money did go into netCD's account last night, after I followed netCD's payment instructions to the letter. I've never before had an internet banking payment take 2 days to be processed, and am not used to dealing with uncommunicative vendors, so my assessment of netCD thus far is a long way short of ideal.
It certainly seems that slow processing and absence of communication has not been the experience of other netCD customers, but it has definitely been mine, and makes it unlikely that I would either purchase from them again or recommend them to others.
Further to this, I have now discovered that tnetCD has put misleading information on it site regarding the dispatch date. When I visit "My account" at netCD, it says:
"20/07/2006 Despatched"
However, when I use Track & Trace, I get this:
"Your item EAxxxxxxxNZ has been picked up at 3:05 PM on 21 Jul 2006."
So netCD has, either deliberately or unintentionally, lied about the dispatch date. It claims to have sent the item on the day payment was received. This IS NOT TRUE. Instead, it was not sent until the next day. Because payment was recieved on Thursday, by waiting an extra day before shipping, it means that my purchase will not arrive until Monday. This is very unsatisfactory, seeing that I had paid extra for courier delivery precisely in order to receive the goods as fast as possible.
The charitable explanation is that netCD are simply sloppy and unprofessional, and made a genuine mistake in claiming to have sent the item on the same day payment was received. (which is standard practice and is what OUGHT to have happened). However, having paid extra for a service that I have effectively been deprived of, I'm not feeling charitable toward netCD. "
