Watch out

"I was scammed into a so-called rewards membership that costs $21+ per month. After reading other reviews on another website, I see it must have happened because I used a discount coupon. I am disputing the charges. The clothes I received were okay. No care label."

Very deceptive. Very tricky.

"After you place your order they invite you to add two or three more items at 15% off. The smart thing to do is place your order, holding back two items. Then when they “invite” you to add additional items at 15% off, you’re all set. Very tricky.
Also, it’s extremely annoying that they don’t take no for an answer after they give their spiels.
Bottom line: I will not be ordering from North Style ever again.

Terrible return policy

"To return merchandise you need to initiate it with within 7 days. You have to email them to request a return, then send pictures, if approved, you have to package the items and pay for postage to Italy yourself. I will never shop there again. "

Worst customer service ever!

"I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from this company. Worst customer service ever! I received a gift card and trie to use it to order online. Since I was unable to find a way to do this, I called customer service to help me. After being passed around to three different people, I was told that I couldn’t get the free shipping offered online. The service person then tried to sell me more clothing than I wanted, and their own credit card. When I angrily tried to cancel my order, the service representative offered to ship my items for $4.95. If not for my gift card, I would have canceled the whole order. I was also given a Northstyle shirt for a Christmas present. Since it was too large, I had to exchange it for the smaller size. I was forced to pay $10 shipping to do this. This company is a rip off and I will never order from them again! Buyer beware!"

"I ordered November 4. I never received any communication. I just checked on the status of this order only to find that (I) had cancelled it. That is an absolute lie. I never cancelled the order,but planned to. I still owe $27.20 for WHAT?"

Complete waste of time - impossible to order

"My elderly relative told me he'd tried to order a sweater and tank set as a Christmas present but something happened and the order was canceled. I couldn't find a confirmation email for it, so I called customer service to ask them to look into the order (worthless - took them 5 minutes and all they could figure out was that nothing was currently pending). Then I tried to place the order with the slowest customer service rep on the slowest service in the world. Honestly if she had used a chisel and a rock to carve the order number it would have been faster than whatever she was doing on the computer. The blasted item was on backorder until mid-December, but we still wanted it as a gift. Eventually she asked for payment and his credit card was declined. At this point we were 13 minutes into something that should have taken 2 so I offered my credit card knowing it had $4k of room on it. That card was also declined. No notice from my carrier about the attempted charge, so nothing on my end. Clearly whatever is screwy is just with North Style. Not clear what the point is of a company that prints catalogues of clothing you cannot actually buy even if you have the money and interest. Totally utterly useless."

Gift Certificate

"My husband got a gift certificate for me to use with Northstyle. I went online to use it but there was no where to actually use the certificate sooo...I called to use the certificate. After two hours and four customer service people I gave up. First of all every number given goes to an overseas call center where they have no idea what a gift certificate is and could not get the one I was given used. They were more worried about getting my credit card information in case the order went over the certificate amount I would not give that information. No "manager or upper level" customer service was available. At this point I am giving up and requesting a refund on my credit card. I have ordered from them in the past and love their clothing but no more! "

Very Poor Customer Service!

"Northstyle charges excessive costs for shipping, does not acknowledge receipt of returns and will not refund customers until 6 weeks after returned merchandise has been received. Terrible customer service. I have just returned my first and LAST order with Northstyle."

"Returned my check for merchandise. My bank said never received request for clearance. They had no problem charging my credit card twice in past. Do not order from this sketchy business. Never had returned check in my 75 yrs on earth and banked with same bank for over 50 yrs."

Received Damaged Tunic; No Response!

"I purchased a light pink tunic with 8 grommets, four on each side at the bottom. All 8 grommets had blue ink markings around them. I sent a letter complete with picture, wrote 2 emails, reviews and one phone call which ended in a hang-up. Another customer had the same problem, and her review said she received a replacement. NOT ME. I can’t even get anyone to talk to me. I now have a $50 rag. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY!"

"The shipping charges are ridiculous. One pair of jeans purchased then exchanged for a different size cost $34.31 shipping fee. I called to question the amount and was told I would receive a refund of $10.95 which is better, but still $23.31 for shipping seems out of the norm. Note, though customer service did address the overcharge she was rather snippy about it."

Terrible Customer Service

"I have had terrible experiences with North Style. They have the type of clothes I like except that they don't actually have it in stock. Their customer service staff always transfer a person to another department and then disconnects. After taking my name off their email list I decided to give them another try. There was a pop-up saying "We want you back. Get 15% off". When I tried to fill it out, it disappeared. Then on the catalog page there was an offer for 10% off if I signed up. Same thing--it disappeared when I started to fill it out. I called customer service and the woman said she needed to transfer me. Then I was cut off. "

Rude and Not Helpful

"Purchased 3 items with free shipping. Received confirmation next day and was charged shipping. Called and they said they would take care of it. Almost 4 weeks later I received my items; however, to my surprise 2 boxes came of the exact items. Called and when I tried to explain what I thought happened the individual was rude and accused me of ordering twice. I believe the individual who was to take the shipping charge off reordered again thinking she cancelled the other order. The individual today said she would hang up if I didn't lower my voice. I said you were talking over me that's why I raised my voice. It's unfortunate that people who are supposed to represent a company have no customer service skills. I will not order from Northstyle again."

Same as everyone else - selling clothes that are not in stock, charging for shipping which takes forever, paid returns

"I placed an order over a month ago for their overpriced clothing and am yet to receive half my items. They charged for shipping, sold me clothing which was not in stock, waited to send the other half of my order for weeks and probably months more and I have to PAY to send it back to them when it doesn't fit. I will never order from this company again and wish I had read the MANY one star reviews before I did. Perhaps if they stopped spending money hand over fist on catalogs which I have recycled for the last 10 years, they would have enough extra funds to actually RUN THE BUSINESS. Truly don't know how they are still in business. "
