"Let the buyer beware
Purchased a generator from this company and it was defective. Instead of them sending a replacement or a refund they quoted there sales policy and said to call the manufacturer. They will not fight for there customer or help them in any way."
"I ordered a generator and the carrier arranged a delivery time between 4 and 6 pm. The generator was dropped in the street in my cul-de-sac in the morning when I was at work. When I called the carrier I was treated rudely and told that the generator was dropped at the end of my driveway. I don't have a driveway. I called Power Equipment Direct customer service who offered no assistance and wanted to charge me to have the product picked up. R & L Carriers was the carrier. I will never buy from this company again. Now that I write my review I can see that that others have also had a terrible experience with this company."
"Terrible experience with Power equipment direct. After spending over $4000 on a mini slit heat/ac system. I had to meet the delivery driver at a market away from my home, as they shipped the unit on a semi truck, which would not have a prayer of making it up my driveway...this was aggravation#1. After receiving only part of the items I ordered I discovered that the mini split needed a minimum of 49 feet total of line set, no where on the website was this mentioned. So I had to contact Power equipment direct to do an exchange. Now they are going to charge me (after I have already spent well over $4000 to return the line set that is too short for the system, aggravation #2. And Power Equipment direct also informed me that the indoor mini split units will not be shipped until a month after I have ordered them. Aggravation #3. Buyer beware! go somewhere else to purchase your equipment. Nothing but aggravation from this company! I plan on purchasing another mini split system for my home soon and I certainly WILL NOT be purchasing it from Power Equipment direct!"
"This is the first time I have dealt with Power Equipment Direct. And I am very impressed! The website was very easy to navigate. I found the self-propelled lawnmower I wanted for my husband...at a reasonable price. It was delivered today, and he loves it! In fact, I went back to the same site and ordered a generator! We live in Florida on the East coast, so of course, we are the "hurricane state". AND our old generator ...they don't even have the parts for any longer. Can't wait to see our new generator. Another thing I really like about PED is that they carry brand-named products and they back them up!

"I purchased a mini- split AC system based on confirmation of stock for immediate shipment, with a quoted 3-4 days delivery. I am now at 10 days without available tracking data and no system. I have had numerous contacts with both sales and customer service to obtain status with no success. I requested the customer service rep to connect me with a supervisor or manager and this was refused. This company is service only and to my knowledge, does not manufacture anything: therefore, should excel in service. Very disappointed and have elevated concern to Sr. Mgmt."
"I purchased a Quincy Air compressor from Air Compressors Direct (ACD), aka Power Equipment Direct (PED) on 11/30/20 with a shipping date of 12/10/20 (at the latest from the factory) come 12/14/20, I contact ACD on 12/11/20 to find out the status of my order because they never sent me an update and they said Quincy was the holdup in shipment. I waited till 12/14/20 and still no update. I contacted ACD and they had no information. I asked to talk with a supervisor and supervisor was in a meeting. They would call me back that day. No callback. Called Quincy, the manufacturer, they said they have not received a purchase order from PED since 11/25/20! WTF! I called 12/15/20 and asked to speak with a supervisor. Nope, supervisor was in a meeting. Asked for a callback. No callback. These people are scammers. Stay away! "
"Wish I would have read reviews. This company does not know what service means. I ordered a Billy Goat blower. It came with missing parts. Called them about it and they said they would send parts ASAP. 2 weeks later no parts no email. Just wow. How are they still in business. Crazy. "
"This place is will rob you blind. They sent me a used mower, had me send to a local dealer, the dealer refused to work on the mower due to too many issues, sent the mower back and I've been waiting months on refund. Each week that passes they tell me the check was mailed, refuse to give a copy of the check, refuse to wire, refuse to give details, refuse to overnight even at my expense. I'm out thousands plus interest and more stress.agony than I can convey. MowersDirect.com is the same place and they continually lie about sending my refund and it never shows. These people are crooks and should be shut down immediately. CEO Jon Hoch, should be locked up and tossed in jail. Do some research on these crooks, it will blow your mind! Numerous name changes is probably the only want this crook keeps making money."

"I was misled on an accessory having an additional shipping charge. I was told it would be shipped separately via FedEx. My order arrived today with the accessory packed in the other shipment that did not have a shipping charge. Slick...misleading...yes they got me. For $15.84 they risk customer satisfaction. Fortunately I emailed and pointed out the charge as not as explained and the accessory arrived packed in the free shipping order and never arrived via FedEx. I requested the charge be taken off as it was not shipped separately therefore justifying the shipping charge. No was the answer with some circumlocutions on their shipping charges. Really? Anyway I passed on to each of my farm managers...no purchases from this Company in the future. Now I can only hope any warranty issues won't occur. Terrible way to earn $15.84. The only power a consumer has is not to spend anymore money with a company and let others know why. Thank you for being an outlet for the consumer. Bill L"

"I bought a Generac 22kw Gaurdian for almost $5000 from these guys. It was shipped to my freight forwarder in Miami to ultimately be shipped to the island of St Maarten. I got a message from my shipper that due to the shipment being valued more than $2500 I would need to get the supplier's ein #. When I called I was told they wouldn't provide it to me. I asked to speak to a manager, she told me the same thing. I relayed that US customs requires this info to allow shipment and the gen would be stuck without it. I was told that I could return, but I'd have to pay shipping and a restocking fee. To do business in the US you need to provide your federal id number, this is a normal request. Their website clearly states they ship to freight forwarders. Now I'm going to have to fight the battle through my cc, I'm out of pocket the 5k, still have no generator, and hurricane season is here. Stay far away from this shady business.
