"Great experience. Shopping for the best price on a Canon S30 digital camera, I found the "cheapest" ones that come up in cnet/dealtime/etc searches have lowball prices but inflated shipping (i.e. $59.99) and/or sell gray-market non-US cameras.

Protek Direct had the best total price (price + reasonable $14.95 shipping), was US model with full warrantee and accessories. Customer Service (Larry) was OK, offered extended warrantee, extra CF and battery, but didn't push once I said no thanks. I did take a battery, though, when he knocked some off the price to a better internet price I saw on it.

Items were shipped 2nd day after order, and arrived fully new as expected. Yay!

"After much research and comparing I decided to go with Protek for my first nice digital camera, the Canon s30. Ordered online but followed up the next day buy phone to ensure order was recieved correctly. Friendly staff, did push accessories a bit, but were professional about it and not overly pushy, so I did buy an extra 128 mb Deltek compact flash from them as well for about 10 bucks higher then the lowest price I could find . Shipping cost not too bad, 15 bucks for 4-7 day ground. Order was processed and shipped in about 24 hours, recieved 5 working days later in great condition. Just as advertized, no grey market, all brand new in factory box with all the software and goodies, everything in great condition.

I am now playing with my new camera and learning how to use all these great features.
