"My recent experience with roomstays.com has led me to vow never to use any of these third-party booking operations again. I shall be very wary about any on-line listing. Roomstays.com misrepresents itself on-line as the hotel and does not adequately disclose the fact that a reservation is non-refundable.
A weather emergency caused me to try to cancel a hotel reservation made inadvertently through roomstays. After being shunted back and forth between the hotel and roomstays, the hotel manager conclusively told me that he was not going to authorize the cancellation for reasons that amounted to resentment for being forced by his chain to do business with these booking operators. Oddly, I sympathized.

"We thought we were calling the Days Inn from the car on a trip to Pennsylvania from Georgia. Their URL in the search results was masked as if they were Days Inn. We booked the room with them without issue and paid them on the phone. When we got to the motel, they did not have our reservation. Our 5 minute check in took 45 minutes, after 10 hours in the car with 2 over tired kids, MISERABLE, and the hotel was still not able to verify the reservation. Could not get roomstays on the phone. If you want to book a room, they answer right away in America. If you have an issue, you go to a call center in India and get to stay on hold for a while. They gave us the room and said if they did not have it by morning, they would have to charge us for the room. Guess what? In the morning, the motel still did not have the reservation so we had to pay the motel...also. I called RoomStays.com the next day, they said they would call the motel and straighten it out and call me back within 48 hours. They never called back.

We received our credit card statement the other day and there is a full room charge from roomstays.com and Days Inn. I called Roomstays again and asked them to remove the charges. They again said, we will call the motel and if you paid them, we will remove the charges and call you back within 24 hours. They never called back...again... and did not remove the charges. We had to call our credit card company and we are now disputing the charges.

TERRIBLE experience, ZERO customer support (was lied to twice), SHADY business tactics. Check the BBB, there are a lot of complaints against this company. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. The room was the same rate as the motel had and I have had to spend more than 3 hours dealing with this now.

"I went online to book a room for a wedding I was to attend at the Scranton Hilton. First link showed Hilton Scranton booking info and I called the toll free number thinking it was the Hilton. I told the person the name of the wedding and said there was a block of rooms reserved for that wedding. The person asked me the name of the wedding, booked me the rooms, never acknowledging that he was not part of the Hilton. The rooms were $149/night. I found out the week before the wedding that the block of rooms were $129/night and my name wasn't even associated with the wedding party. It was only then I realized that it was a third party that booked my rooms. Roomstays would not admit that they misrepresented themselves and said if I cancelled with them and re-booked with Hilton I would be liable for a $173 cancellation fee. Avoid Roomsstays!"

"Made a reservation for a hotel thru Roomstays.com. When we got there, the hotel staff was on strike. We were sent to another hotel that was 1/3 the cost of what we had prepaid Roomstays.com. Called them to get a refund of the difference. Very poor customer service and no follow up. Burden of settling differences totally on us. Finally after 7 phone calls and 45 days later, we got a partial refund. Will never use these people again."

"I used RoomStays to book the Baltimore Airport Sheraton, and I got a really good deal. The site is very easy to use, even for someone like me who doesn't shop much online. I would definitely use this site again in the future!"

"booked Shelborne Beach Resort in south beach. stay was pleasant, and description on room stays was very accurate. booking a reservation was very easy and fast. Rates were lower then other site i checked. great site to find hotel deals."
