"I got given an older phone from my girlfriend's aunty, a Samsung Galaxy S5 mini, but it was locked to her network, here in Austria. I have a German simcard, and I'll be moving to Sweden soon, and eventually back to my home country, New Zealand, and obviously needed to get the phone unlocked.

The last phone I had (a Sony Xperia Z1, from my girlfriend's brother), was unlocked at a phone store in the mall and cost €50. It took around a week or something.

This time, I tried sim-unlock.net and was very pleased with the results! It was only €12.49 (down from €13.49, so not a huge discount), so I figured that if it was a scam or didn't work, then no big loss. We paid with Paypal and then less than an hour (it was actually almost exactly 15 minutes) after payment, the codes were sent by email.

I was given two codes, an NCK and an UNFREEZE. My particular phone actually asked for a Network Unlock Code, but the NCK number worked just fine in there.

I don't review things often, but I'd already decided that if it worked, I'd give it a positive rating, and the 5 stars is for the unbelievably quick turnaround on my codes."
