"I signed up on Swagbucks on 6/28 and started completing surveys and earning points. After two days, on 6/30, I had earned just over 1000 swagbucks points. Then my account suddenly stopped working. I sent a customer service ticket about that and the only response I got was that I was deactivated due to violations of their terms of service. All I ever did was complete surveys to earn points. I replied, asking what I violated and they refused to give me one and indicated that the issue is closed."
"SwagBucks was offering a $30 rebate if their users signed up for the service of another merchant, HomeChef. This was only a 48-hour promotion and had a vanity coupon code attached to the offer, seemingly allowing for easy validation.
I clicked through the offer, signed up for the services of their promoted merchant, and waited the ~30 days required for SwagBucks to post the rebate. I notified SwagBucks about no pending transaction immediately (payment takes 30 days to post, but transactions are usually shown within 48 hours).
The resulting customer service experience was insultingly poor. There are mandatory "wait" periods before they'll even attempt to investigate a concern. They'll repeatedly ask for information you've already provided them multiple times. And they only respond in boilerplate templates, so they'll never actually answer a question.
It's quite obvious that SwagBucks has find it more profitable to not pay out on offers and then suffocate users with abysmal customer service."
