"This seller is a crook. Over the last 11 years I have placed many hundreds of internet orders, and this is the first time I have been burned. On May 16 I ordered 1 copy of Windows XP Home Sp2 from the following internet seller:
www.topgearboxes.com
Top Gear Boxes
56434 Airport Way
Portland, OR 97238
Tel: ***-***-****
Several days later I received a copy of Windows XP Pro Sp2. I assumed that they were out of stock on XP Home and sent XP Pro instead. The packaging appeared legitimate and had a COA and product key. I installed it and the Windows validation process indicated that this product was covered by a volume license agreement, the product key was invalid and it was possibly pirated software.
I contacted the seller and returned the software as requested. I requested a valid copy of Windows XP Home SP2 in exchange. Since then, numerous phone calls and emails to the seller have gone unanswered. My last email to the seller was on July 17 and I still have not received the replacement software.
I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and contacted the Microsoft Piracy Hotline. I have also notified the Better Business Bureau.
