"Awful customer service, with poor to no feedback when problems arose. After providing my credit card information and asking how the product would be shipped (assuming it would be FedEx, UPS, or DHL as stated on the Shipping Page of the website), I received no reply for 6 days. Then I got a reply saying they would check on the status of my order (I never got confirmation once I had given my credit card info that the order had gone through). Then, no response except for a Click-n-Ship notification from USPS. USPS! For customs, I needed the package to be sent by FedEx, UPS, or DHL! When I asked how it would ship I assumed it would be one of the three as this is what was stated on their web page. OK, I think, a misunderstanding. So I write an email, and as of yet have not gotten a response (6 days later). And now my credit card HAS been charged, so clearly the order went through. Next time I'll pay a few extra bucks and get the smooth service of OWC. I trusted BareFeats.com with the recommendation... the price seems right, apparently their products are good quality, but with that kind of service, it just is not worth it.
UPDATE: I just got a call from customer service apologizing for not getting back to me. They said they didn't think it was necessary as the order had already shipped. I told them I had not yet received the order and they said they would look into it."
"I was trying to purchase an extra 2GB RAM for my Mac Pro but at the last page of trying to order online, I was met with the site's database being down. I e-mailed them letting them know I was trying to purchase a product from them. My e-mail signature has my phone number in it and they called me to let me know they were right on it and I can make the purchase over the phone instead.
The gentleman on the phone was very courteous and knowledgeable; it was done very fast, very painless. The product was shipped that very day. It came in at the expected date and works.
I would recommend transintl to anybody looking for a very reliable alternative to Apple's expensive RAM upgrades along with knowledgeable and fast customer service."
"After being delayed at OWC two times (not their fault, just hard to get memory) - I checked out this store from a link on Barefeats.
I called after 3 pm PST and asked if I could get it shipped the same day. The gentleman I spoke to was hopeful but made it very clear there was a chance it would go out the following day because of my late call.
The order ended up going out the same day I called and after checking FedEx this morning I see it is out for delivery.
Very happy with the customer service and turn-around. I cannot yet speak to the quality of the product. I will try to update after testing.
UPDATE 1/26 -
Memory was received and works perfectly. Many others on the Apple bulletin board have also ordered and received and are happy. Will definitely order from transintl.com again - soon!"
"Product Purchased: 8GB memory kit. 4x2GB 667MHz DDR ECC Fully Buffered DIMM for my Mac Pro 2.66GHZ Tower.
Experience: Placed order via telephone with a man with what sounded like a German Accent. He was professional. He repeated back to me precisely what my order details. Further he precisely repeated back to my my purchase information. We agreed on the cheapest shipping method. He suggested I might receive order by Thursday.
Today is Thursday, October 4th. I received my order. The packing was impressive. Very clean and obviously packed solid to protect modules.
The product is as promissed and I am very happy. I installed the memory without incident. So far, everyting is running smoothly. A far better experience than that of using OWC!
I read below that there are many unhappy customers. So far, my experience is great."
"Order placed and shipped without incident. However the product I got was not what I ordered. I had ordered 2 x 1GB sticks of RAM. What I got was 2 x 512MB sticks (both worked fine but reported only 512mb). Likely mislabelled so I called them up and explained the issue. I was told to ship them back, send a tracking number and the replacements would ship that day. I did this within the hour. When I called I was told it "might" ship that day (Friday) or Monday. Tuesday comes and no RAM or tracking information. I email them again and get a reply that says they have not shipped it yet but will send it 2 day air and I will get a tracking number by FedEX. No tracking number so still not sure if anything shipped. Even if it does ship today:
-I was sent the wrong product
-was misled regarding when the correct product will ship
-had to remind them to ship the product (either it wasn't important enough to get me the correct product when they promised or they just forgot, neither is acceptable). "
"Very good service and product. I ordered 512 MB SDRAM DIMM [Max Speed Code 2-2-2] User Slot for iMac 800 MHz [17-inch Flat-Panel] July 2002. Installed and works great."
"Great company fast service... ordered 2gigs of RAM for my apple G5. works great fast shipping. people at 2-pop.com (fourm) told me to check them out, glad I did."

"Although the hard drive I ordered was probably the best deal anywhere (73 GB 10K RPM SCSI drive for $150), the service was awful. The order shipped over a week late even though I received an email saying that it was ready to ship. When the order did finally ship, I was out of town and no one was around to receive the package. Delivery was attempted several times and eventually returned to the company. After several emails (at least 6 spaced several days apart) I finally received a response to my inquiry for a refund. The response was to call some guy named Mike. First of all, this should be automatic. If such a thing happens- the refund should happen without question. Second, it should have shipped when they said it would. After all, I paid for 2 day shipping- not 2 week shipping. Finally, they should be able to deal with such problems in a quick fasion. Just last week, after almost 2 months of waiting I have finally received my refund without so much as a word that they were actually refunding me. Stay far away from this company- even if their prices are cheaper."
