"I have always purchased travel insurance from Travelex but never had to file a claim until this past summer when I incurred travel delay and travel interruption expenses as a result of a flight cancelled by American Airlines. Upon receipt of all required supporting documents, Travelex reimbursed me the travel "delay" expenses portion fairly quickly. However, the travel "interruption" expenses portion was initially denied on the ground that the flight cancellation was not due to a covered reason when it in fact did. After my further appeal, Travelex reversed its decision and reimbursed me for the remaining expenses. Although I did run into some issues with my claim, I would still continue to purchase travel insurance from Travelex in the future because 1) my issues were resolved in my favor and 2) the Travelex customer service agents were professional and courteous throughout the claim process."

"The process is easy enough. I had only one issue and it might have been my error. When I got to the payment section I noticed that the price was much higher than I had figured. It was because I was signing up for the customer insurance instead of the basic I needed. I had to go back to the start and repopulate all the information again. I don't know if the program automatically goes to the higher priced package or if I selected the wrong item the first time. We had a family emergency as we were filling this insurance out and realized that things do come up and it is worth the extra money to be covered especially with the support feature that helps you find things like lost luggage or medical facilities. Really hard to do in a foreign country. Now I can look forward to just having fun."
