HP Pavilion a/c adapter arrived in my mailbox: April 19 (see Note 2)
Review: I was a bit apprehensive b/c the order was not processed as quickly as expected based on what I saw online only (see Note 3) & there was no phone # to call but it arrived in 2 days, in brand new condition and my workhorse HP Pavilion is back in business. So very happy.
Note 1: Merchant no longer offers telephone contact or on-line chat
Note 2: Free shipping for the a/c adapter ($12.99 + tax)
Note 3: The order could have been processed and the update online happened later."
"Ordered from the website but didn't get confirmation. It just said my shopping cart was empty, and I never got a confirmation email. So I tried again. This time I got a confirmation number. Well my credit card was charged twice, and all I can do is return one of the items, but I won't be refunded shipping charges even though their website is the cause of the error. I still never got a confirmation email for either order. Most companies at least send confirmation emails at the time your order is submitted. I will never order from this company again"
"Like many laptop chargers my adapter for my HP Pavilion finally died so I went online to order a new one. I Google'd and found USAdapter and the compatibility was there and the price seemed inline so I placed the order on 2/1/11. My order confirmation stated that items shipped within 1 business day and I would receive a shipping confirmation w/tracking information. On 2/3/11 I sent an email asking the shipping status as I had yet to receive an updated email. No response to my email. on 2/5/11 I sent a second email - again no response. On 2/6/11 I used the company website contact form and sent a third email - guess what? Yep, no response. So on 2/7/11 I called the company and pressed 1 for "Order Status inquiries." A gentleman answered the line and he sounded like I just woke him up! He simply said "hello" in such a manner that if the automated system hadn't directed me I would have thought for sure I'd dialed an incorrect number. I advised that I needed to check on my order as my email inquiries had all gone unresponded to. He asked my order number and I gave it to him and I literally sat on the phone for a solid 3 minutes with what seemed like dead airspace. He did not say a word after I provided my order number and I finally asked "Hello, are you still there, did I lose you?" He replied, again in a sleep manner, "I'm checking on your oder." Well, gee thanks Einstein! He then advised my order SHOULD ship within the next business day and when I asked for clarification on whether it would or not he again reiterated that it should. So I asked why it hadn't shipped within the week I ordered it since their website states shipment within one business day. He advised that some of the parts were not available. It's an adapter - how many parts do I need? He further explained that parts were out of stock so nothing could be shipped. I make the next obvious question: "Why didn't anyone advise me of this out of stock status, and why are you selling out of stock items?" He did not have an answer. So I requested immediate cancellation of this order and I will say they did refund me promptly. I'm guessing they're used to having to issue refunds!"
