"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They are not from the USA they are from British Columbia!!! I placed an order on Aug 10th and it is the 29th and I have yet to receive my package. The free shipping is so they don not have to get a tracking number and provide you with one. I will never order from them again. VERY DISAPPOINTED"
"USAVetShop had a special on Frontline Plus. I couldn't find any negative reviews and their return policy said 30 day money back if not 100% satisfied. The FAQ page said they would even pay for the shipping. Plus they're open 24 hours. Everything looked good so I placed my order.
After 10 days, I get a package in the mail from the UK. It said Frontline Combo. I double checked my receipt to make sure I didn't order the wrong thing. On the receipt it said, "Frontline Plus Orange Sml Dog Upto 22Lbs 3 applications Qty 1 Price $19.99"
So naturally I tried calling them, but the phone was disconnected! I then tried emailing them, but the email came back as undeliverable. Over the next 48 hours I tried calling about six times from three different phones. Eventually when I called at 3AM the phone did work and I was able to speak to a representative.
Even though I was tired and upset, I never allowed it to show through my tone, thinking this lady on the phone didn't cause this, didn't deserve to be yelled at, and would be able to correct it. I explained to her that I ordered a product and got something else. She then told me oh they are the same thing, that's just the UK version. I told her I didn't want the UK version because it's not EPA approved (I didn't mention this, but it's actually illegal to import non-EPA pesticides into the USA). She said she would have someone call me back in 48 hours to resolve my issue. I asked her why that was necessary, because I thought on the website it said I could return it for any reason and get my money back. She dodge the question and said oh well someone in our shipping will call you and make that decision. Whatever, so I thanked the lady for her time and hung up.
Waited for a call, never got one. Sent a few more emails, and they remained unanswered. Turns out the EPA has a news bulletin about counterfeit Frontline products and a detailed description of what to look for with a link to report these fraudsters. I also notified their domain registrar GoDaddy, ICANN, and Google Adwords.
Today before I wrote this review, I decided to check their website again and guess what. They update their product page to say "Frontline Plus (also known as Frontline Combo)" and put a small link way down at the bottom of the page that says "Important info on frontline." When you click on it, it now opens a window that says in tiny size 1 font "We only ship the UK version of Frontline Plus called Frontline Combo." To make sure i wasn't nuts, I checked Google cache for Aug 7th 2012 and sure enough the old version was there that made no mention of Frontline Combo.
Avoid this company. 1) They are not based in the USA like they're name would have you believe. Packages ship from the UK. They don't list their physical or mailing address (not even a PO Box) and their domain name is private so beyond their phone & email, there is no way to reach them. 2) They do illegal bait and switch practices. 3) They don't honor refunds per their own written policy on unopened items. 4) Their 24/7 phone service is a total lie.
Luckily, I have only invested in $19.99, but it worries me that they have my credit card information now. In addition to reporting this to my bank, I now have to take on the extra burden of getting a new credit card number and contacting all the other merchants that I do business with.
