"I should not have combined a car rental with my Transavia flight which is why I am now dealing with Airtrade... as a result of illness we cannot go and want to change the flight dates, but are required to pay additional 850€ to do so (this is 35% of what we have already paid) ! Airtrade claims this is according to the 'terms and conditions of their partners'. rubbish - if I had booked a flight and a separate car I would not have this issue as I would have dealt with an airline and car rental company who value customer loyalty. Never again will I book with Airtrade !"
"Don't book with them! Customer service is very rude and irresponsible. It took 10+ days to process a cancellation request. And the penalty they promised to waive (due to medical reason) was still charged. Called again and waited 1 hour just to be connected. And then a rude guy said they cannot make change now. "You need to waive it when you cancel." I said I did, but how can I verify it at that time since the invoice was only sent 10 days later. He said whatever happened before, he cannot do anything now. And then he just tried to deceive me to hang off after that. Saying I need to contact the airlinse. The penalty I was talking about was totally from Vayama. And he refused to connect me to his supervisor or anyone else. For the whole call, it was totally lies。. Waste of time! Will never use again!"
"Booked with Vayama. My flight was changed on me twice; adding confusion for my MIL who i bought the ticket for. She is elderly, missed her flight - and was not helped whatsoever. Book direct; "
"On Dec 22, I tried 2 times to book with Vayama and both times I was given the message "payment failed". So I booked the same ticket with CheapTickets.com and was issued an instant ticket by Cheap Tickets. So far so good. A little later, I get an email from Vayama about the booking confirmed and still a little later, the ticket - how is this possible?
I immediately emailed Vayama same day to cancel the booking and still haven't heard from them yet. And finally, the duplicate charge showed up today (10 days later) on the credit card, which I have disputed and also emailed the CEO and management of Vayama - keeping my fingers crossed.
Just heard from Vayama less than 12 hours later. Ms. Marjon Paanen, who received my email from CEO, informed me that the charge is refunded in full - bravo! Way to go Vayama - I appreciate it but 2 things are clear:
(1) Make the website further bug-proof so "Payment Failed" means no booking.
(2) Train customer service to respond to emails in a time-bound fashion, not only when emails go to the top echelons."
"Take .other reveiwer's word on this:
DO NOT BOOK WITH VAYAMA.
This is NOT a real travel agent.
This is a call center in India. They will tell you they will "get back to you within 48 hours" via emal.
They will not.
TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.. DO NOT BOOK WITH VAYAMA. Pay the extra, whatever it is, This is not a legitimate business concern."
"Avoid Vayama at all cost. You'll lose your time and money, plus it has the worst customer service."
"Horrible experience. Purchased a cheap airline ticket through Vayama with multiple layovers. The day before traveling, I was unable to confirm the second stage of the flight. I called Vayama and tried to get an explanation, but they were absolutely clueless. After multiple calls spanning probably 90 minutes or so, they had determined that the flight had been cancelled. A competent travel agent would have 1) been aware of this and 2) warned me in advance, and changed my booking arrangements. Vayama did neither. They were completely clueless when I called, put me on hold for what eventually turned out to be hours total, and were completely unwilling to make any accomodations for me. Fortunately, I was eventually able to sort it out with Air Portugal, but I was so appalled by the poor quality of service and sheer incompetence demonstrated by Vayama, that I'll surely never do business with them again."
