Incorrect parts sent, Twice.
"I needed a replacement fan for my laptop model ph315-55. So i ordered the part that had a matching picture on the listing for the CPU fan for that laptop. But what I received was the GPU fan, which did not fit. I contacted customer service and they said that I needed the GPU fan based on the pictures. So ordered the GPU fan from their site. Only to receive the same part i got the first time. Unacceptable and if customer service can get me full refunds and shipping refunds, i will improve my review."

Wrong part sent and doesn't match the packing slip. They say that it's my mistake.
"Ordered a laptop power supply A13-040N3A as listed on their website. I wish I could include pictures in this review.
When I received the order, the packing slip says that it contains (1) A13-040N3A. The actual physical power supply in the package had a model number A11-065N1A and didn't even fit my laptop.
I sent them pictures of the packing slip, actual item received, and they replied that it was all correct. Unbelievable. Then they basically told me that the number they sell the supply under is meaningless and they need to know the laptop model number.
So a photo of my current laptop supply with number A13-040N3A, and the websites sells a supply with that A13-040N3A model number, somehow translates to a power supply model number A11-065N1A.
Now they say I have to pay for shipping to return it and they will look for the correct one based on my laptop model. NO THANKS.
You may be lucky, you may not. I would not trust this company. For this $25 headache, I may just have to go Pro Se on them, just to return the headache they have me."

Incompetent scammers
"We ordered a screen for a customer repair on an ASUS laptop and we were sent the wrong model screen. Upon shipping it back [in which I labeled the package and verbally confirmed with USPS that it was a fragile package] I put in in a bubble wrap mailer and a box. They sent us a picture of the screen broken and refused refund"

2 Defective keyboards
"I ordered the keyboard Palmrest (it is one part in this model HP Laptop). After transferring everything over it turns out that 1/2 the keys didn’t work. I had to pay for a second keyboard/palmrest and returned the first. Several keys did not work on the second keyboard. After ordering another from a different company all the keys work and everything is ok. Lost quite a bit of time and money. I did inform them that this particular laptop has been known to have keyboard issues. I have been working on computers for many years and it was very frustrating"

False advertising
"I ordered a forcecon 5v replacement fan for my laptop and the image on their advertises item had the correct forcecon fan, but when I received the item, it was a totally different fan with 12v, and did not work for me. I tried to return the item, but CDS will not pay for the return postage, and keep insisting that the fan is compatible. I will not shop at CDS ever again and I do not recommend them for not owning up to their mistake."

Great source for parts
"We are a computer repair business and I have been using this company to order parts for years. They don't always have everything, but they are always easy to use. Plus they have great prices and usually free shipping! I honestly can't remember if we have ever received a defective part. Most of their stuff seems to be OEM or high quality after market. I definitely recommend."

Wrong screen sent.
"I ordered a laptop screen to replace a broken one for a customer and CDS sent me the wrong screen and now says the one I need is out of stock and wants me to pay return shipping for the part they sent even though it was not the part I ordered. I would recommend avoiding them."

Then one of the parts send was cheaply made it broke on the first use

"The best way to tell you're dealing with a great company is how they follow up on an error in a sale. I ordered a set of brackets for a laptop hard drive. The pair consists of two different types, but when the package arrived, I had two of the same type. I contacted CDS Parts about the problem, sending an email late in the evening. When I came home from work today and checked my email for a response, they informed me that they had already sent the part and gave me a tracking number. Now THAT'S what I call service!
I will remember this, and I will remember CDS Parts the next time I need something for my laptop."
