Barbaric
"Designcrowd puts best designers under "quarantine" while selling their logos on Brandcrowd.
In the meanwhile, DesignCrowd has its own design team which auto-selects itself while all the other designers are blocked and made them impossible to win a contest, wasting a lot of time.
It's a fraud and it should be denounced worldwide.
Clients, please do not support DesignCrowd, it's barbaric exploitation."

BIG SCAM
"I'm an experienced designer and I've been ban after submitting 3 designs. I've got an email saying that my work didn't meet the quality requirements. I made sure that my logo meets all requirements given by the contest holder and still got banned. I can't even log in to my account and delete my personal infos which is totally unethical and that's probably why they exist to "steal personal informations". I'm quite sure they post fake projects brief. I will post my design for you to tell me if the quality is that poor and please consider that i had to respect the brief and use their colors "a minimal logo for a social media app".Run away from designcrowd as fast as you can."

"They will not refund you the money if you are not satisfied with the final designs. They will scam you any way they can. Please do yourself a favor and not use them. I had to file a dispute to get my money back. FRAUD ALERT!!!"

What a waste of time
"Dont walk, RUN!!!! To pretty much any other outlet for designs you can find. This company is a con and the refund policy is really "try us and get a 50% refund if we don't deliver". On top of that support will delay your refund as long as possible..."

"I've seen the works on the homepage and read that this site is more “luxury” than the 99d. I went there realizing that I can do such things like on DC homepage. As a result, they checked my work for the project for several days and did not give me participation, because my work was of "poor quality". I decided that only professionals can work there (no online courses and self-guides), but I read the reviews there and realized that your fate depends on the moderator's mood. Disgusting."

Nightmare
"I don’t recommend this website at all. My experience was the worst as possible. I paid for a package that promised 15+ designers + 30+ designs. I was excited about the idea and trusting on the 100% money back guarantee. After 3 days I started to be concerned because we just had 1 designer and 1 design. They offered me to extend my project. After one week I couldn’t be more disappointed! We had just 3 or 4 designers and one was good, but the other 3 were super bad, they are way too far to be professional. I couldn’t even show my boss the horrible designs we got because would be a mess! I asked for refund and guess what? They charged me 44 dollars for posting the project! Don’t waist your money on Design Crowd! I wish I could have tried 99 Designs instead. Now I messed up with my budget and no design. My boss is ****."

"Being a designer i expect the client to at least give me a feedback for the design i submitted but in reality out of 20 projects i got feedback for only 4 designs rest were ignored and client didn't even care to drop a feedback. The real disappointment is not losing the contest but it's about not getting feedback because the client have received 30 to 60 plus designs and doesn't care for your design on which you have worked for a couple of hours."

Worst designers on the web followed by the worse customer service.
"I'd never used this horrendous company again... what a total and infuriating rip off they are!
The designs were all terrible, then to top if off when I contacted customer service they replied the first two times then when I asked for a refund as they couldn't supply me with what I paid for they just ignore you."

"I have used DesignCrowd multiple times for logo designs but will never use them again.
I hate their process. I had only 1 designer working on my logo, who it's important to note I couldn't pick, DesignCrowd automatically picked him.
He was based in Venezuela and worked slowly all the while, DesignCrowd had me on a deadline timer that was running out fast.
I did not like the logos and to spare the designer trouble, I asked DesignCrowd to cancel the project and refund my money as they proudly proclaim to do.
Due to their small print on a separate page, they were only refunding me part of my money and they were keeping 1/3 of it.
What a waste of time, I'll gladly refer and use a competing service instead."

"I had several projects running on this website. This is the worst way to find a good design. First, it is not as cheap as it seems. Non guaranteed projects are at least $40 even if you choose not to finish the project. 100% refund guarantee is actually not 100%. Second you pay the amount they ask, but the designers gets almost 50% of what you pay. Absolutely unfair to the designer. And if the designer knows about it, they will not give 100% of their effort. Getting hundreds of submissions do not equal to hundreds of QUALITY submissions. there are designers who submit unoriginal or copied proposals. Some are very rude. Others speak no english. Some can not deliver the files that are necessary. In many cases it is a headache. In my experience I found it much more useful to find a good local designer that can communicate and that can deliver everything I am asking for, since a logo is not just a logo. If you love your company, you need to care about it's message, it's look, it's position from the start. Designing a logo, requires all info about the colors, fonts, idea behind it and many other things. If you are ready to spend $500 on a design, you better be ready to spend twice as much and find someone who knows what a logo means and how to deliver everything you need and can guarantee that they will work with you later as needed. A qualified designer knows how important a relationship is and he/she values it. Don't forget, a logo is not just an image... You want someone who does it all. You do not want someone who makes only one thing and then you switch to someone else. Things might not fit... Also designcrowd's customer service ****. they need more training. Some have no idea how to treat a customer."

Worst, most time consuming experience ever trying to get my project completed!
"You are better off spending money for a local designer because you will spend HOURS & HOURS & HOURS back & forth with the designer requesting edits only half of which they handle. To say it's been a frustrating experience is an understatement. I've spent countless hours of my time requesting edits some of which are basic typos & spelling errors. There is also the issue of the designer being in India so work & responses happen once every 24 hours. Don't be lured in by the pricing; you will end up losing money with the time you spend trying to get the project completed. The designer also does not know how to set up my brochure with bleed lines or proper lay out for the print company. I've made several requests for the source files hoping design was done in adobe pro & only get back a pdf."

Better Designs at Fiverr
"Designer was unskilled and didn't follow directions. I paid for 3 logo designs and only got 1, and it looked as though he put no thought into the aesthetic of the design even though I gave clear, specific directions on style and look. The design was very low quality, on par with Fiverr, but at least on Fiverr, I pay less. Also, Design Crowd automatically keeps $30 (if you choose a private design) even after the refund. I was ripped off. Never again."
