Never in all my years of Doing Business
"I happen to be a business owner in the LED lighting industry with over 10 years experience, and 5000 commercial lighting projects completed.
Recently while looking for a track lighting system for my home bedroom unfortunately I came across the company: direct-lighting.com I have never done business with them before and figured the pricing was OK so an order was placed.
Upon receipt of the merchandise one of my electrician's began setting up the lighting kit, but found one of the fixture head's to be faulty. He recommended contacting the company where it was purchased. After reaching out to the company I was told there was nothing wrong with the fixture head and ended up in a heated conversation with them. The individual would not allow me to get a word in edgewise and accused me of not having a professional install the (Plugin) track lighting kit. This was not a hardwired system.
The person at direct-lighting.com was abusive, condescending and disrespectful. I had asked for a full refund to which they obliged and offered not to charge a restocking fee of 10%. They did not offer to send me a reshipment label.
The down side was I would need to ship back the track light system as the lamps would not come loose from the track itself. Basically, it would end up costing me $76.00 dollars to send it back via UPS, while the whole order was $95.00 dollars. Of course, they would offer to not charge a restocking fee on the defective product... They obviously knew the shipment back would ultimately end up being a wash in their favor.
It was just a terrible experience and I highly advise those looking to do business with direct-lighting.com to stay way! Hopefully you don't run into the same issue. Best of luck."
