"First and last time to buy from Micro Center Online. Everything went well for the initial purchase, but you can forget any resemblance of customer support after the sale. My laptop came shipped with a tiny fracture in the screen I didn't notice for about a day. Once I did, I tried calling them and was on hold for 45 minutes before their system errored and told me to call back. That's after I finally got to somewhere I could even hold. Option 1 for exchanges and returns just looped me over and over. So I tried chat. Waited for 15 minutes for someone to join the chat and when they did, responses took 5 minutes between each communication. I finally gave up and just decided to keep the darn thing, but knowing I would never buy from them again. Learned my lesson"
"The Dell Optiplex 9020 computer I received was not configured as specified in the advertisement. The installed memory,16Gb, was only half of the 32Gb shown in the advertisement. On the brighter side, the computer contained two DVD/RD RW drives that were not specified. The computer came with a version of Windows 10 that was also not specified. Overall, close enough, I guess."
Had to wait until shipping time to know that item was not in inventory
"I know that upon checkout, I was warned that my monitor would perhaps not be in stock when it would be time to handle and ship. However, it really blows that I had to wait over a week to find out that the monitor that I wanted would not be available. This just meant that I wasted an entire week, when I could have just ordered the monitor for a very similar price from the manufacturer! I'll never try using Micro Center again."
Don’t do it don’t waster your time and effort giving them your hard earned money
"Complete waste of time and funds for a problem ultimately they will tell you is salvageable only for it to reoccur over and over. Micro center will give you the runaround."
"Placed an order and was given a receipt and estimated shipment date. On the date the shipment was supposed to go out I was sent a notification of delivery, but the delivery was in the wrong state! I contacted both the shipper and Micro Center, MC over text instructed me to reach out on chat, over chat was instructed to reach out over phone, on phone was on hold for OVER 2 HOURS!! Email request was similarly ignored.
While I was able to contact the shipper and resolve the situation, I am left incredibly disappointed in Micro Center. Complete failure to support the customer."
