Bait and switch-- don't honor the prices they offer
"They offered $50 for my Kindle which I tested before sending and mailed in it's protective leather case as well as lots of bubble wrap. They claim it doesn't turn on and edited the offer to $3, gave only a week to reply and only 2 emails of notification about said downgrade. Andddd are about to charge a ton to ship it back to me since I declined their insulting bait-and-switch offer."
"I found it very easy to sell my phone to uSell. They make an offer and send a kit out to mail the phone in. Everything was done in a timely manner. I was very impressed. I highly recommend uSell. I would not hesitate to use them again."
"I found it simple to get the application filled out, mailed in with the phone, and accepted. It sold quickly and I got a check soon after. The new owner of the phone wins, as it was a great phone, the Usell folks win because they get a cut, and I win because I got a few bucks for a phone I will no longer be using."
"Great experience! Very easy to mail my phone in. Great tracking. Wonderful price (best I found on 4 different sites) and the check arrived promptly. I'll do this again!"
"This was an amusing process and was worth the $3 I was paid for allowing uSell to keep my phone to uncover how their process works. Before I decided to take them up on their offer to buy my phone, I checked with other companies that buy used phones. It became clear early in my search that my phone's real-world value was around $3 - $5 based on its age and that it will be an extinct model for Apple in the very near future. A handful of companies did not make an offer, explaining that my phone had no resale market value. I was offered $38 by uSell, and as long as the uSell inspector agreed with my assessment of its condition that I provided, uSell would issue a check. (This is the leap-of-faith phase that you must take: will uSell, after mailing your phone to them, agree with you about your device's condition?) I was sent a return kit to use with a prepaid USPS label. Since I did not trust the lack of protection that their return envelope provided, I placed their kit inside a larger box and stuffed it full of bubble wrap. I had to know that the phone was going to make it safely to New York without any damage. The extra packaging and protection didn’t matter. Once uSell received my phone, I was notified by their customer care team that there was a problem. Evidently, my phone was not in the condition I had described; their inspector had found the screen was cracked. uSell’s new offer to me was $3. I accepted the offer and received my $3 check. I knew it wasn’t going to matter what kind of shape my phone was in - the market determines the value and there’s no market for my phone. I now suspect that uSell is just a glorified recycling center. I’m generously providing a 2 star score because they were fair on pricing. The phone was worth $3 and that’s what I received. As for honesty and integrity, they receive no stars. My phone was NEVER worth $38 and the cracked-screen story was made up."
