Shoddy refurbished item
"Bought an item that was in stock. Got enough email days later that said it was out of stock and I agreed to a substitute. The substitute ended up barely working and now I'm returning for a refund."
"Ordered a desktop sold on newegg but it was nothing like I thought. There was a dead cat inside"
"Click baited me into ordering a hugely discounted product on newegg. Cancelled the order and tried to upsell me another product."
I ordered a Macbook: They sent 2 return instructions and now they have my Mac and will not refund me
"ON 6/2 I purchased a refurbished Mac Book from Sears.com. The seller was Weekly Close outs. It was delivered to us on 6/8. We followed the return instructions that came with the Mac Laptop. The tracking number is 9505514625937163144976. It shows delivered. I am still being required to pay for it, in spite of the fact that it is returned and in spite of the fact that we were given 2 separate return instructions. Weekly Close outs says they will not honor the return because via email they said send it to their California facility BUT within the packaging that came with the Mac book, the return instructions said to only return the Macbook to the address listed above. This is brilliant scam: We buy and return a laptop , the company keeps the laptop, Sears still make us pay for the laptop and everyone gets to blame the other company because the consumer didn’t know which return instructions to follow: The one from Sears of the ones from Weekly Close outs. "
"I ordered a new laptop and it never arrived. I tried to call and email several times and no reply they just took my money and ran NEVER BUY FROM WEEKLYCLOSEOUTS IT IS A SCAM."
WHAT A SCAM!
"These assholes sold me a 27" iMac that didn't work. After weeks of run around the refuse to do anything about it. But after reading these reviews, this seems to be a fairly common practice. "
"I am so sick after reading these reviews. I ordered an iPad mini (through the Sears website) for my son a few weeks before Christmas, and paid extra to have it delivered BY Christmas. I received a package rather quickly, and was satisfied with the rate of delivery. Upon opening the package, I discovered they had sent the WRONG item; it was an iPod touch. After much run around, and "complications" (their words, not mine), they figured out it was "human error," and the problem would be resolved. I talked to supposed supervisor who assured me that a shipping label would be emailed that day. Well, 24 hours later and three phone calls, I finally got my label. I immediately returned the iPod (even though my heart worried of a scam...), and waited for the iPad. I am still waiting TEN DAYS LATER. Worse yet, this iPad has been charged to my card! The rep I talked to on Tuesday said it was scheduled for delivery for Friday, and she'd email me tracking info. But, it's all lies. I have no tracking info, and NO IPAD. My son leaves tomorrow with no Christmas gift. I will NEVER order anything through them or Sears again. It's a bunch of bull that Sears doesn't back the vendors in their "marketplace," and weeklycloseouts.com was supposedly "certified" through Sears. "
"Up to this day it has been 3 days and have been getting the run around on a purchase i made. I have made several calls and have sent 3 msgs already and have had no clear response on a return..i sure hope i get a full refund..as for shopping here again not even as a joke.."
"HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Experience!!! We had an issue with this company and could never receive a response from them. They publish no telephone number and do not respond to emails sent through their site. The purchase was actually made through Amazon and they were of NO help as well. I would STRONGLY suggest not spending ONE dime with this company. They offer crappy customer service and obviously do not care about their customers or the hopes of a returning customer. The above comment was made earlier this morning therefore I am editing my review. WeeklyCloseouts did finally call me this afternoon, after many days, and noted they have been very busy and their customer service department is small therefore running behind. Although I appreciate the response I believe it would be nice if they could send an auto response or something saying "we hear you". The situation was resolved with mutual satisfaction. This was a shipping related issue."
"I bought a dell laptop and was not as described. It was corner broken. I returned it back to get refunded, but they told me that they haven't received it. I shipped it with the USPS and till know I'm trying to solve the issue with both, but the problem is I neither bought a delivery confirmation, nor an insurance."
"Scam! Scam! Scam! They advertised a good laptop and a good price, however, they shipped a substantially lower quality laptop. You wouldn't know the difference unless you go into the system properties and see that the lower end processor, less RAM, and lower quality graphics card. Don't buy from these no good cheats!"
"This site is a scam!!They took ALL my credit card info, then sent another form by email to "confirm" my purchase by asking for a signature. WARNING TO ALL: They do not need a signature if you have already provided ALL your information including the three digits on the back of your credit card. I am reporting them for fraud."
"I ordered a refurbed Mac G5 and received a confirmation e-mail. I then ordered a keyboard, mouse and software for the machine on E-Bay. The next day I received an e-mail from Weakly Closeouts (spelling intentional) stating that they had cancelled the order due to lack of stock! I spent over a hundred dollars on hardware and software for this machine and now have nothing to run it on. These guys apparently don`t know what a confirmed order is . . . or don`t care."
"I ordered the New open box DSC-HXI Sony Digital camera with 1yr warranty and I received it quickly with everything New and clean and I was able to sucessfully registered my product. So I am very much pleased with their service provided and would recommend it.Pros: Quick deliveryCons: Wish they would have a contact telephone numberAt the end its a trust worthy website and I will shop againThanks and regardsMuthahar"
"I got a computer from them that was broken. HP eventually took care of it, but not after weeklycloseouts ignored every email I sent them asking for guidance. They have no phone number! How in the world do you contact a company that does not want to be contacted? Beware of any business that doesn't have a phone number. I give them an 8 for the price of the computer, a 2 for the quality of the computer, and a 0 for customer service."
