One of the worst dating sites in Canada
"After even brief interaction with the site, it became clear that it has very poor matching algorithms, and a small dating pool of relevant candidates. Other dating sites in Canada, even without a subscription, offer much more relevant matches, and i got a much better response rate on other sites. Importantly, most other sites, offer 1 month subscription, whereas eHarmoney offers only 6 months. They probably do it because they know that nobody would come back after 1 month.
I made the mistake of getting 6 months membership because i found an article eHarmony website about 14 day cool-off cancellation policy. The article is highly misleading because this cool-off policy applies only to UK, but the article never mentions it.
Overall, i would not recommend getting a subscription there at all!"

Scam Alert
"They popped up on Facebook advertising one month half price which was about 10 bucks so I decided to give it a try. Then I got an email from them saying that they had charged me almost $250 and they won’t give me back any of my money even though I Contacted them right away and in fact they would not answer my emails and when I went to Facebook about them and then the Better Business Bureau they told them lie after lie after lie"

Not worth it
"I allowed my membership to expire as things opened up and I didn’t have much success with this site. I much prefer meeting someone organically anyways but they sent me an email that gave me 50% off 1 month at just under $20 so I said why not? Well my charge came into my Amex for $270 which turns out to be 50% off the 12 month plan. I reached out to their customer service department and they’re telling me that they don’t do refunds. I reached out to them within 1 hr of charge going through PayPal. PayPal couldn’t help me as I have to go through the supplier. Not happy right now. Be careful. I’m st"

Such a waste of time and money
"If i can put 0 star, i would. Even waaayyy lower than that. They refuse to refund my payment. I requested cancellation within 48 hours of purchase. Turns out the 3-day no obligation thing only applies to certain states in the US. That was my bad for not noticing that. However, if their T&C was written better and is not intentionally misleading, i would have NEVER EVEN PURCHASED.
I thought i'd give a laid site a try since i have used free ones for the past years. I thought maybe it's time to use a paid site and maybe i would get better chances of finding a match. Nope. Never again. This website completely made me very skeptic of paid dating sites. I have had my eyes on this site for a long time and i had actually endorsed it to some friends. But now, they want to get my $300+ for a service that i no longer want after only 48 hours of being on the site. I dont even care if they keep my first month's pay. I think it's only fair if they keep it. They can even keep the first 3 months of discounted price. But to keep charging me for the rest of the year for a service i CLEARLY DO NOT WANT ANYMORE, this is just robbery. I do not trust this website at all and i will make sure that people know how opportunistic this website is."

"Signed up for service for a year. Their service was horrendous no matches .. I sent an email and choose to deselect auto renew . Many months before membership was to expire . They the day of my expiry , set it up for auto renew and are now refusing to delete my profile and saying I owe $451 ."

"Their matching system isn't functioning anymore. There are some fake profiles (the prettiest one) made up to boost their popularity. They resort to all kinds of fraudulent tricks with automatic subscription and unexpected charges. I've never encountered problems with billing on

I joined it after Eharmony started playing their financial tricks on me. They have a lot more good-looking (and real!) women as well as a clear billing system. Even though most of these beauties live far away, it was easier to make dates with them than it was on Eharmony. I don't plan on using dating sites any longer, because one of these dates went extremely well and it looks like I've finally found my girl!"

Waste of money
"Paid over $300 for a 12 month subscription because you can’t see the profiles otherwise. I have had one date over 9 months. The matches are often thousands of miles away or live in other countries. Even the few people are in the same area have no common intrests. I have contacted customer service over a over and they just send me instructions how to change my preferences. Do Not spend money on eharmony. I have had multiple dates on the free apps. Not worth time or money."

Do not subscribe !
"Worst experience ever. They have renewed for a 500$ my subscription while I had already asked to cancel any automatic renewal. They are willing though to delete my profile and keep all of my money for the all next year. I had a total of 3 matches, lost money and any respect for this company ! I do not recommend to anyone."

No matches and No Customer Service
"As a Canadian, I joined Eharmony and Elite Singles at the same time. Two months later I had 37 matches from Elite and 7 from Eharmony. Of these seven, 3 were living in the US and with Covid-19 restrictions no contact was possible, 3 had no photos and almost no profile and one was 5 years younger than me. After writing personal inquiries to their customer service, I received stock answers and no help and no refund. In fact, they never answered my last inquiry. On the other hand, Elite Singles has been excellent."

Do not pay for this service!!! It's a joke.
"My husband had passed away recently and my sister encouraged me to sign up for Eharmony. Within 20 minutes after giving them my credit card info, I contacted them and told them I wanted to cancel this service....that I wasn't ready for online dating. Even though they have a 3 day free cancellation policy, they wouldn't refund my money or cancel my service. I've contacted them numerous times since because the 'so called' matches are a joke - people who live hours away; people who look like they're on welfare etc. They refused again.
It's definitely not a company I respect or would recommend to anyone. Stay away!! They're just out to take your money."

"I am very dissatisfied with their service. First of all, the signup process is very confusing. They make you believe that you are signing up for 3 months, after you signed you they will keep taking payments every 3 months for one year, whether you like it or not. when I called them to cancel my subscription they said it was for one year and I told them I would like to cancel the remainder of the term because I only signed out for 3 months. Guess what, they refused to let me cancel and kept taking my money every three months, and I was not able to search or matches, or sent messages on their app, yet I was being forced to pay. They said I still have to pay for the rest of the terms (9 months) left, which is $65.70 every three months.
They are only in for the money and not your search for love. Please stay away from them if you want to be happy and not waste your hard earned money."

Do NOT sign-up for eHarmony!
"I don't suggest eHarmony to anyone! Do not waste your time, especially your money! If you sign-up as a regular user, you can't see anyone's pictures because they're purposefully blurred and you can only message someone once. However, if you'd like to pay, you will be LOCKED-IN on a 6 MONTH contract. I tried cancelling only after 2 days, realizing I wasn't a huge fan of this website and nope, you're permanently locked in for 6 months, having to pay over 200 dollars. I read the "Terms & Agreements" and it stated that if you're not satisfied then there is a 3-Day Cancellation method if you e-mail this certain address and they will cancel your account without having to pay. I e-mailed them explaining my issue and the 3-Day cancellation method but they e-mailed me back basically saying it **** to be me, that the 3-Day Cancellation method doesn't apply where I live, only in certain states. I was furious. They wished me luck and basically told me to be on my way...that they wouldn't do anything for me. So now I'm paying close to 200 dollars for something that I'm completely dissatisfied about, absolutely ridiculous. I told them that I'll be going on every social media platform and warning everyone of their lack of satisfaction to their customers and their fraudulent practices and they didn't seem to care. Absolutely disgusting behavior and a terrible website. Do NOT sign up."
