OWC search & shipping removed a star
"Ordered a 2TB hard drive & replacement battery for a Mid-2010 MacBook Pro. Both are 5 star buys. The 4 stars are for OWC’s search eng. & shipping.
On OWC’s website search:
OWC needs a major fix to their “search” feature. I searched for my battery on OWC with zero results. Just searching “battery” after multiple searches resulted in this statement from OWC’s website “Your search for Battery didn’t return any results.”…What? I had to go back to a web browser and lookup “MacSales”! (Lucky for me I’ve been buying Mac parts from MacSales since before OWC days, so I knew the name was a part of OWC.)
On MacSales my battery showed up in my first search using MacSales search. What an incredibly stupid oversight that’s probably lost untold sales for OWC!
On shipping:
I live in The same Chicago area as OWC & don’t think it should have taken 4 days (3-working days) to deliver a package 30 miles away. I bought $250. Of product & got free shipping as a result. Shipping is UPS SurePost (in partnership with the US Postal Service). UPS is the only reliable shipper today. Their partnership w/USPS caused a delay of at least another day."

Correct genuine Toyota parts
"I have a 1999 4Runner that needed the rear hatch lift cylinders replaced because they no longer hold the heavy hatch door (with slide down window) correctly.
The lift cylinders are just over one inch in diameter and both sides are offset mounts. Every “just like Toyota” cylinder I can across had a smaller cylinder and most had universal mounts.
Luckily I found these original Toyota from this reliable seller.
I would highly recommend!
Price was competitive and shipping was very reasonable."

Untrustworthy. Incompetent and deceptive practices.
"In-stock is not in stock.
Only after ordering did I find my part was direct ship from the manufacturer.
My order was not followed through on (submitted to the manufacturer) until I called nine days later.
Customer service purposely misinformed me on several points.
Ordered a part (sandblaster gun) from Toolsource.com online on the 10th and received a confirmation email, waited a week and a half with no further communication from Toolsource.com.
After waiting nine days (now the 19th), I called Toolsourse.com and was told "please hold the line and I will call the manufacturer as this part ships direct to you from them." after 5 or 6 minutes she came back on the line and said "the manufacturer is shipping it today". When I asked "why the delay?"
Toolsource.com could not say.
I waited another eleven days (now the March-1st), then emailed Toolsource.com because I had not received the part or an email saying it had shipped.
This time I was told "sorry the part is made to order and will ship for about two weeks"
Frustrated and in disbelief that every blast gun is made per order, I called the manufacturer (a small business with a dozen or so employees).
I talked to the receptionist (who also handles the incoming/outgoing orders) and I talked with a rep. on the manufacturing floor.
I found the tool for making my part was being retooled and the part would not be available for three weeks (not the two as I was told by Toolsource.com)
I was transferred to the orders department. They looked up by order and it was then that I found my order was only submitted to them on the 19th of the month, not the 10th when I ordered the part from Toolsource.com.
I then called toolsource.com and cancelled my order."

"Expensive.
Container is the worst on the market.
First let me say I tried to find pictures on Pods website of the Pods inside layout with no luck and I now see why.
While "Pod" started a trend of alternative moving, the price and (most notably) Pod interior is a deal breaker.
WHY?
Items, namely furniture must be tied down during transport or it will shake, rattle, get bumped, shift, move, rub etc. ALL furniture moving trucks have builtin systems for securing items (especially furniture) to prevent damage from movement during transport. Some truck transport compartments have securing slots on the side walls intended for ridged/bar systems.. (mostly used by commercial movers) but that design has many drawbacks, like a supply of bars to stow. Some truck transport compartments (mostly consumer rented trucks) have "D" rings on the walls, better but it also limits where you can strap or rope an item. The remainder of furniture trucks have a vertical skeleton system of metal/wood. On top of that is a horizontal metal/wood system that surrounds the inside. It is made up of wood/metal strips every foot or so from bottom to top. The wood strips are the best solution for securing furniture from movement because you can tie off items at any given place with your strapping/webbing/rope to prevent damage from movement during transport. Pod uses a (post screwed) consumer grade eyelet system on two posts per side. A very poor, worst case securing system that feels like an afterthought."

"I have trusted OWC for well over 10 yrs.
Call them Mac Sales, Other World Computing or OWC, they have always been a source for reliable, quality made Mac items. This sale was for a SSD. OWC's price saved me $100. from the closest "other" seller. Shipping was a tad slow considering it's only two states away but USPS has also purposely slowed it's shipping a day according to my mail delivery person."

I ordered two coiled (like a old phone cord) HDMI cords that I could only find on eBay and all came from China addresses. The only US vender I could find (after a long extensive google search) was BlackBox. Luckily someone took the time here on Reseller's to review it. Luckily it was a 5 star review. So I'm adding another 5 Star to it!
Coiled HDMI cable is black, thick, and excellent quality.
I ordered it at 8:30am yesterday (UPS Ground for $6.11) and it arrived the next day!
Price of this special cable was excellent, $11.95 for each 10 foot cable.
Had to set up account to order. Got three emails of communication.
One for account, 1 for order Order conf. & 1 for shipping conf.
Excellent packing.

"Ordered a pair of 10.5 (5E) wide, one week later I received a pair of 9.5 reg width.
Called to exchange, woman was nice and said she had a pair of 11 (5E) would that be ok?
I said yes, no problem.
Two minutes later she said she had no 11 (5E) only 11.5 (5E) or 10 (3E).
So no stock, had to cancel the order and now wait 10 days for credit….. will see if it comes to pass."

"USBFirewire.com is a great source for hard to find USB and Firewire cables. They make cables with custom plugs in right/left/up/down angles. I stumbled on their site and I'm very glad I did!! I bought a right angle Firewire but due to a website misprint the cable came the wrong length. I contacted USBFirewire.com, they apologized for the misprint and asked me to select any cable that would do the job. Due to the length I was looking for, it took two cables to do the job. They sent them both out with no charge! I was shocked at their dedication to service! What a great company!"

"Not what I ordered! No Return!
Description and picture (described and showed) Original manufactured water filter. I received an off brand item that was "comparable" but only 1/2 the filtering capacity of the original. So it actually cost me double the price to filter the same amount.
I looked to see how to return the filters to find the invoice small print stated "no return on water filters".
"reviews" from other online review centers (all owned by the same parent company) list the company as good. When I tried to submit my own review, I found no place on any of the review websites to do so. Unbelievable but not a surprise as the parent company's focus is selling advertisement."
