Helzberg Diamonds
"I bought my husbands wedding ring from them. I had the ring sized from a 9 to a 10. The ring I bought was 10K gold. After getting married, he'd worn the ring only a couple weeks and it started deteriorating. First, the gold seemed to be soft and the shape of it slowly tuned oval. Next a couple diamonds fell out and then it cracked in two places. My husband did nothing to make this happen. He didn't even work.
We took it into the shop and with the lifetime care plan, we thought they would help us get it repaired. Nope. It was deemed unrepairable and not covered by the warranty. We then had it sent by the store to corporate to get their take on it.
We waited a couple weeks and then I started trying to get a hold of someone to see what was going on with it. I called the number they gave me three different times to try and get a response- no one. I finally emailed through **** consumer and I received a response that they were looking in to it. Two days later I replied to that email response and 3 days after that, I finally heard back but only to get a reply that they would contact me by EOD the following day. When that day came around and I did not hear back, I called them again just to get a response that they would call me back. Two days after that I finally got the call they they will not honor the warranty and replace or repair the ring.

"I would recommend not purchasing from Kay’s jeweler specifically if you are attempting to do so online. On the 17th of December, we made a ring purchase for $2450. On the 24th of December, Kay’s sent me an email canceling my order essentially saying that they didn’t know it wasn’t in inventory… it took this company 7 DAYS to figure out that they did not have what I ordered… meanwhile, had they canceled the order in an appropriate timeframe (i.e. not seven days), I could’ve gone into my local Kay’s and purchased the same ring at 30% off…. Now, that same ring is back at full price ($3200 bef"
