Electronics For Less Canada
"I bought a pair of new Klipsch RP600MII2s bookshelf speakers on the 18 of Dec 2023 from Electronics for Less here in Canada. I received the items on the 27 of December. I requested a return & exchange through their website dashboard because one of the speakers was damaged due to transport, more on that later. Took them a week to get an answer finally by e-mail on a late Friday after numerous unanswered e-mails and phone calls, voice mails despite being opened for business on that week. They finally shipped another one, a single bookshelf speaker on Monday which was really weird BTW. That could have been an open box or used one? Normally you send everything back and they send you a new OEM box. Right away, Mason Shapiro, the owner offered me money if I wanted to keep the damage speaker which I refused. After a bunch of going back and forth, they packed and returned one random speaker in a custom-made box. The box arrived as a mess and the speaker showed damage as well. I tried to contact them for days, by e-mails, voice mails, phone calls, then I got a call from random guy which introduced himself as a broker and asked me if the damaged speaker was working and could not helped me for the return. It is just a constant nightmare dealing with them especially for returns. They don't return calls or e-mails unless you harass them for weeks. Mason finally answered one of my e-mails and offered me money again so I can keep the broken speaker, never offered me to exchange it. I told him that I wanted to return all the damaged speakers then he went into the "avoid mode" or silent mode again. No answers, no nothing. I put a complaint through Better Business Bureau and he finally showed up with an e-mail, I wonder why? He asked me right away to retract my complaint which I refused. While fixing the shipping boxes to get them ready for the returns, I noticed that the damages on the speaker didn't really go really well with the ones on the shipping boxes location and it was pretty impossible to be damaged like that by only transport anyways. I do think that he's sending B-stock or damaged open box items to customers that buy new stock and basically pressure them into keeping them by offering money after we received the items. By refusal of taking the money, Mason will make your life super miserable by not answering your phones calls, e-mails or voice mails or will be really slow to get the process of return going. Everything has to go through Mason only, shady isn’t? According to the BBB complaints, Google reviews, Reddit, TrustPilot ,Yelp... Mason Shapiro is known to reimburse customers weeks or months after the returns were done if you get your oney back. He will do everything to slow down the return process and make it difficult as much as possible. It is a disgusting fraudulent bad tactic. I was able to return 2 of the 3 speakers, I am still waiting for the label for the last one because Mason just slows everything down on purpose and I have to go back and forth a million times with him to get things done. Stay away from Electronics for less. "
