"I sent candy and flowers to my mother in law for Valentine's Day. I told them they could be delivered 2 days early. They sent her the candy and an empty vase. No flowers. I called the company and was told they ran out of the flowers I ordered so they just sent the vase. Really? They couldn't put flowers of any kind in to make up for it? They weren't going to send anything or inform me about it? Whoever did that should be fired! They sure took my money!"
"My fiancé ordered flowers a month in advance to mail to me on valentines day before he left for his deployment overseas and on valentines day I received nothing but an empty box ! I am currently on the phone with them still for over an hour and will not refund my fiancé or send new flowers!!!!! And they just hung up on me!!!! Worst place ever!"
"I just emailed this to 1-800-flowers. Worst company I have ever dealt with.
I ordered this:
ELEGANT RED ROSE, Product Code: 101169, Delivery Date: 02/13/2015, Quantity: 1
on February 9th to be delivered to my wife's work as a surprise valentine's day gift. It's what I do every year. However I do not normally purchase flowers from 1-800-flowers, with good reason. The plant my wife received is of subpar quality to say the least. The picture of what I thought I purchased is an appalling misrepresentation of the product that my wife received. It is an embarrassment to me to have such a sad pathetic product that was supposed to represent my deep feelings for her delivered to my wife's place of work. The picture of the "Elegant Rose" was far from elegant. In the picture there were over a dozen beautiful roses in full bloom. The one my wife received had 5 at best. One was in full bloom, one was broken and bent into the plant, and the other 3 had bloomed some time ago apparently, because the petals are falling off or already did. Even the leaves are dried out and curling. I ordered from 1-800-flowers one time before and swore I would never order from you again, because once again the product was junk. Now here I am kicking myself for not following the promise I made to myself. There is no way I will ever order from your company again. Trust me; I am going to spread this message everywhere I can regarding your lousy, no good, poorest excuse for flowers that I, or anyone, have ever seen. Now I have to go out to get my wife some roses for Valentine's Day. Thanks for nothing.

"Terrible service. I ordered edible arrangement for my friend's birthday. They called 1 day before delivery and told me they will deliver between 4pm and 6pm. They wanted to make sure someone will be home. They did not deliver until 9pm. My friend lives on the 7th floor, delivery person called and asked my friend to come down stairs and get the arrangement. What kind of delivery service is this and why did I pay money for the delivery. #1 you show up at 9pm # 2 ask the person to come and get the arrangement downstairs. I am very mad and upset. "
"Worse customer service ever! Agents don't even speak English and you have to either repeat your questions 5-6 times before ESL agents to understand your question OR you are better off re-dialing and hoping each time you dial in that you will get an agent who does speak English!"
"Paid for delivery on a specific date and was told the flowers would be delivered then. Delivery status said they WERE delivered, but this was not true. Notified 1-800-Flowers early enough in the day for them to rectify this, but they only said they would make the delivery in 4 days and offered a $20 coupon for future orders. WHY would anyone order again after finding out how unreliable and unprofessional they are? They ruined a very special surprise by screwing up my order. PLUS - they are supporters of Rush Limbaugh. All in all, NEVER GO NEAR THIS COMPANY!!!"
"I ordered flowers for my mom's birthday. They showed up on time and were in good condition, but I paid for 50 blooms and there's maybe 20. Definitely over priced since you don't even get what you pay for. "
"Probably the worst place to go when trying to do something nice for someone on a special day. My family and I wanted to send my sister a bouquet of flowers for her one year anniversary. Well, we picked one bouquet, and decided to change it. We called and had the bouquet changed and added on a box of chocolates. The next week my sisters flowers arrived. Many things were wrong. First off, it was the wrong bouquet! Secondly, there were no chocolates! And third, they spelled her name wrong!, which we were on the phone talking to the person about for a long time. We could not believe how much they messed up. But it gets worse. The next day we called 1-800 Flowers and complained ( horrible service, aswell). The customer service representative said that they were going to send out the correct arrangement with chocolates and call my sister to apologize. They did none if this. So, we thought that maybe it was the distributor of the flowers (Wilhemy) that might have not gotten it out. When we called them they said that they had sent them out. After asking my sister and finding that they didn't, we tried to call them back. They did not answer, hmmmm wonder why. They had lied. Shocker. Both of these places should not be in business. If you want your loved one to receive and enjoy something special from you on a special day, then stay far away from 1-800 Flowers. "
"Terrible customer service. I requested an arrangement to be delivered same day. They immediately processed my pmt. and I received an email that they had been delivered - when they were not! They were delivered the day AFTER I needed them delivered and they refuse to accept responsibility, blaming the local florist. As far as I'm concerned, I ordered the flowers from 1800FLOWERS and they should accept blame for this."
"Same. As many of the people hear say, bad experience. You won't get what they show, and in fact it can be completely completely different. Look up a florist in the area and call them. You will pay half as much and have a much better chance of getting your flowers delivered. "
"Like many of the other complaints, I had ordered a Christmas arrangement for my 100 year old grandmother. Not only did it can cancelled on their end, I received no notice of this cancellation. I thought it strange that she didn't mention the flowers, as she is usually quick to call, but its a busy time of year, and I didn't think to check online about delivery until after the New Year. The delivery information was incomplete (no explanation of what may or may not have happened). I sent 2 tickets to customer service. Heard nothing back. Just got off the phone. The initial option was to resend - ridiculous. Second offer was to credit it me for $15 (not a full refund). After much anger on my point, and several times waiting on hold for approval of a full refund - FOR SOMETHING NEVER DELIVERED - I am now told I will see my refund to my credit card in 3-5 days. Now, I have to figure out how to make amends with my grandmother - thanks, 1-800-Flowers. Grrr."
"WOW what CRAP! I can't believe a big business like this can be so freakin horrible and still be around! Aweful service, ignorant people on the phone. Ordered same day delivery and at 5pm they call me and say they cant! They couldnt find a flourist with lily flowers and couldn't fulfill my order and can substitute with lesser cheapier flowers on a $100 flower, no thanks. i called 3 other shops they had lily's so not sure how 1800 had a issue. So they said they would call me back 2 different times, never happened. finally the next day at 11am I get sick of waiting for these idiots and call them. Nothing was happening with my order still!! So I cancelled it and was told I would be refunded. That didnt happen either, they cant even refund me correctly. Disputed with my visa, I am so done with these HACKS!!!! NEVER EVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN! YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER.
I called my local flourist and had amazing service!!! Even got the flowers I wanted! Delivered ON TIME as promised and are beautiful. PEOPLE, stick to your local companies, buy local!! So much better and you get taken care of!! "
"My daughter sent me flowers and they were left on my front porch with temperatures in the single digits. They immediately turned brown and became limp when I put them in water. She called to complain so they sent replacement flowers that were to be delivered later in the day. Again they were delivered early in the day and left on the front porch, the temperature was even lower so again I have frozen dead flowers. "
"I wish I could attach photos here of the wilted plants and drooped flowers that were delivered to the funeral home for my dear friend's father who passed. It bore NO resemblance to what I ordered! It was a complete embarrassment!
Especially with Valentine's Day coming up - STAY AWAY FROM 1-800-Flowers !"
"I placed an order December 14th for delivery on December 23rd. The flowers did not arrive that day, or any other day prior to Christmas. Around Dec 26th, I called customer service, who at first tried to say that the florist was 'backed up', as if that is an excuse. She then agreed to issue a credit, but so far I have seen no credit on my Paypal account..it is now December 31st."
