"I wanted to have flowers delivered tomorrow, Thursday before Mother's Day and after you order you receive a note saying the delivery hours and cannot deliver AM or PM. I immediately sent a notice to cancel, received two emails the order was already in route, called by phone and failed twice to have a supervisor get on the phone and was told later by an agent they could not return my $67.73. Caveat Emptor"
"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. The delivery came more then 24 hours late, and every time i called customer service I could hardly understand what they were saying because they did not speak english that well. I was reassured by the rep that i would receive my order on time and I didn't. I complained to the company and did not get a refund or a gift card."
""Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" Never imagined using this phrase in my life.
I placed my first order with this company for a Valentine's this year, to be delivered the day before (as i knew Vday was going to be insane) to my husband at his job. Needless to say the flowers were delivered at 6:30pm left in the back, to only get an arrangement of broken flowers. Def not the arrangement i paid for. I called CS to only have the flowers redelivered. We opted to have it sent to my home, but once we received the flower arrangement it was COMPLETELY different. I mean, not even the same color roses, are you kidding me?? I opted to just keep the arrangement bc i had enough dealings with the reps.
2nd time: I placed an order last friday (5/3 10:20am) to be delivered on Monday (5/6 before 5pm) to my friend's job for her bday. I received an email this morning (5/6) notifying me that my order, which was placed on Friday, was just forwarded to a florist this morning. Second email at 1:19pm, the flowers were in the delivery truck. Well its 6:14 pm my girl has gone home, with no delivery. Great. I call CS and they cannot provide me with no other information as the florist is not picking up the phone to provide a status update. Unbelieveable. Now they want to redeliver the arrangement tomorrow, which takes away from the day.
I should had learned my lesson the first time around. But i surely learned now. I will never buy through 1-800 flowers ever again. Their delivery timing sucks! "
"So I heard their commercial on the radio. I went ahead and ordered. Then after they immediately charged my card, Captain Obvious decided to check the ratings. UGH!!! Terrible ratings. BUT...they came thru!! Everything was perfect!! I ordered a 50$ bouquet at 10:20am and they were delivered by 2:30pm. Very satisfied customer. :)"
"This is incredible simply unbelievable ! I wish this had an upload photo to prove what my husband ordered and exactly what his wife (me) received in the mail !!!!!
Today is my 4 year wedding anniversary. Ive been with my husband for 9 years and today he ordered me flowers to be delivered to my job for the "first time ever" because he usually buys me flowers and brings them home, never has he had them delievered. First of all the stupid delivery guy went to the BACK of my business and delivered them to our warehouse manager instead of ME ! Second, the flowers are all broken NONE of them attached ! It all came in a box and when I opened the box I was left in tears because obviously I know that my husband would never accept this and more less pay over 60.00 for this !!! He did call and complain and they gave him a full refund but he is very sad because he was looking forward to having the flowers delivered to me and me being able to have them on my desk at work and have others see how beautiful they are and his love for me is ! This is such a horrible job and I cannot believe these people are a big company and get away with this !"
"1 800 FLOWERS is Absolutely HORRIBLE!
I ordered a Bouquet of Flowers, a Balloon and a Large teddy bear to be delivered to my wife at work on our anniversary. When the delivery was "completed" they forgot both the bear and the balloon. So I called their customer support, which was hard to understand (sounded very outsourced). Customer service seemed to understand and I had them refund / cancel the add-ons since I didn't want them to deliver them the next day. After the customer service rep confirmed my partial refund we ended our call. 10 or so minutes later the delivery guy came back to my wife's work and asked for the flowers back... So I called customer service (furious at this point) I kept my cool and explained the situation. This time customer serviced apologized and called the florist back who in turn called the delivery guy to make sure he knew it wasn't a full cancel and he needed to apologize. Customer service in addition to refunding my missing add-ons gave me 50% off and a $30 certificate (Which I will NEVER USE). I won't even gift this certificate to anyone unless perhaps they are my enemy..."
"Today is my sisters birthday and she lives in another state so I wanted to send her flowers. I ordered on April 11th just to be sure they received it on time and had enough time to get everything arranged by the 17th of April. 7pm rolls around and my sister still has not received her flowers and when I get a hold of customer service to complain and find out what is going on they said there was a problem and that they just now heard from the local florist that the order only now came in at 5 and they close at 5. What?? So my sister has to not get her gift because of their incompetence?? They could not freaking call me to let me know and all they offer was $20 off of future purchases. I will NEVER use this company again and I will shout it out to every message board and person I know to avoid this company like the plague. Especially after reading so many other complaints from other customers who experienced the same lousy service that I did!"
"I ordered the "Spring Inspiration" and it was delivered a day late and didn't come with any lilies. The picture on their website shows around 16 flowers. What was delivered had 6 flowers, and no basket. They offered a 50% refund. I will never order from them again."
"I should have read recent reviews before my order today. I have used 1800flowers.com in the past without problem but that seems to have changed significantly. Long story short, the customer service person that I spoke to today confirmed that they advertise things they cannot deliver on. The website stated they could deliver today for an order placed before 2pm. I ordered before 10AM and got an email in the afternoon saying it would be delivery another day with a different arrangement. They couldn't provide the arrangement or the delivery date. Seriously, just call a local florist from whatever area you want delivery in as they are mostly contracting with local floriest anyway and just taking a cut for horrible customer service."
"If you own this stock sell it fast. This company is going nowhere and losing consumer base fast! I personally ordered from them on two occasions. The most recent time was for valentines day 2013. As we all know valentines day is a busy day for florists so to adjust for this high demand 1800 flowers devised a nifty option. They charge a $5 surcharge for guaranteed valentines day delivery on top of shipping costs. To avoid this charge they have an option "2/14 preferred, 2/13 acceptable" this in reality means 2/13 delivery with no chance of 2/14 delivery. Assuming that was the case I chose the option since money is tight but come to find out my items were not delivered 2/13 so I got excited and assumed it meant 2/14 delivery... Nope! My wife never received the flowers and it took me multiple calls and waiting on hold just to get disconnected. They finally decided to refund my money and issue me two $20 gift certificates but over a month later I had to call to find out why I haven't received them. She read me the number for one of them then decided to place me on hold to "contact a manager" but I got disconnected again! I'm done with this company and will tell everyone I know to stay away."
"OMG What a NIGHTMARE!!!! 1800 flowers is a joke. I can't believe that I was "taken" by this company. I was led to believe that I was talking to the florist (that I googled) directly. I was not informed of the astronomical service charge of $18.95 plus $3.00 sales tax. I tried to cancel my order as soon as I received my invoice via email ( 15 minutes later) , and they refused, he said the invoice was already sent!! I was irate! they offered me a $7.00 discount to use in the future, of course I said I would never use them again....so, he applied it to the current order ( big deal ). I should have just contested the charge on my credit card. Anyway, the whole delivery process turned into a nightmare as well...........6 phone calls from 1800 flower customer service agents ( all broken english and difficult to understand ) regarding the address of the delivery, very frustrating!!!! Flowers were eventually delivered, God only knows what they look like.......I'm too afraid to ask the recipient...."
"1-8000-Flowers Did not deliver flowers for wife's birthday as scheduled. Called to investigate, said supplier could not deliver and system set my order date to 1 month later. Said would send replacement flowers (different type) on birthday. Did not arrive, called and 1800 said replacement order was also scheduled for 1 month later. 1800 Offered refund and next day delivery of replacement flowers (different type). Did not arrive. Called 1800 and asked for supervisor, put on hold. Contacted help thru twitter, offered apology, refund and same day flower delivery (different type). Asked instead for delivery of original flowers next week. 1800 said they could not deliver on the next requested date. Offered free flower replacement for requested date. Declined. I asked them to cancel my order also asked to speak to supervisor. Still waiting..."
"The flowers were absolutely horrendous! They were already wilted by the time my wife got them. There were only 3 roses and 3 lillies in the bouquet. I ordered the large for $79. I asked that the lilies be already bloomed. 1 had already bloomed(and was wilted), but the other 2 were buds. The worst experience ever."

That is what I ordered for my SO on Valentines day for $100.
http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy224/midwestcrx/IMAG0200_zps0b831ac5.jpg
That is what was delivered.
On contacting 800Flowers, they offered a partial refund and a credit for my next purchase, which would be fine with any other purchase, but when you're talking about special-occasion delivered gifts, you can't really take the risk that they'll screw it up again later.
My confidence in them grew even smaller after they sent me an email saying they're happy I'm fully satisfied with my order. Uh...
It is also obvious that 800Flowers did not contact and has no intention of contacting the florist who screwed up the arrangement, so that makes it pretty obvious that they don't really care if your orders arrive as expected.
(rated them as high priced, since $100 for that arrangement is a joke)"
"The site is fun to look at and prices aren't bad but: I ordered over 100$ in flowers and gifts from these people for valentines day three days in advance. Guess what happens? I call my wife at 3pm that afternoon, around the time they were supposed to be delivered, they weren't there. I tried to call and find out what's going on, I sat in queue for 2+ hours, no answer. Finally I enter my order number on the site only to find out that my order (without notice or alert) had been cancelled. That evening I call again and finally receive an answer from a representative and they say, "Oh, there wasn't a shop in that area to deliver your gift. Your money should be back in your bank account in 2-6 business days." So... They came close to ruining my valentines day gift for my wife, had it not been for some local store that happened to have time for one more delivery when I called. They also were cheaper, had better products and charged almost nothing for delivery. Forget these creeps and stick with local talent. You'll be glad you did."
