Faster than expected shipping, plus a super clean refurbished ResMed Airsense 11 machine

"Have been trying to upgrade my 15 year old CPAP machine for a couple of years. Finally frustrated with the Medicare Advantage insurance run-around, I opted for purchasing on my own at about a 40% discount below full retail. (Note- My Medicare Advantage does not cover this purchase). 1800CPAP worked really well for me.

I'm on a limited income so discovering there are refurbished machines out there, I selected 1800CPAP. I largely based my choice on previously purchasing a replacement ResMed P10 nasal pillow headset--that order arrived in a couple of days via UPS 2-Day Shipping to Hawaii. This gave me more confidence about purchasing a machine from 1800CPAP.

I placed my order for my ResMed Airsense 11 Saturday before 4th of July week, using USPS Priority shipping. Even with the holiday USPS schedule my CPAP arrived in HAWAII within 6 days. I think if I'd used UPS 2-Day it would have even been there sooner (don't know why I didn't do that in the first place, but both are reliable).

Comments from others purchasing refurbished machines SCARED ME A LITTLE with stories of receiving machines from other suppliers smelling like cigarette smoke! I was so relieved that mine arrived with no unnatural odors! It looked brand new.

I can confirm that it also included "NEW" hose, filters, A/C cord and Humidifier Tank.

MY ONLY CRITICISM is there was no way to find out "how many hours" the machine had been used previously. Setting it up I found the machine logged 5000+ hours of previous use. I was hoping for 2000 or less. Still it works flawlessly so far after the first week.

MORE GOOD NEWS- I had no problem registering the machine at ResMed, and setting it up using the ResMed myAir app easily connecting to my phone bluetooth (it connects through after the app is launched). I'm not sending data to a sleep specialist-- I have a long history of use and know what I need.

So based on all this, I would order one again from 1800CPAP with no worries.

OTHER ADVICE
PRESCRIPTION- After talking to my primary care doctor, I tracked down a generic prescription form online, completed as much as I could, returned it to my doctor so she could sign it. No problems. I had had 2 previous sleep studies, the latest being 2 years ago at Kaiser Permanente, so I found the setting numbers I needed there. If needed you can get a find a home sleep study kit, and follow-up with a sleep specialist later I'd think- probably worth the co-pay.

My research tells me a CPAP prescription is a one-time thing, good for lifetime use for any new purchases including other equipment like hoses, headgear etc. I made sure the RX form I used included the supplies as ongoing part of my prescription just to be safe.

SETTINGS- First I purposely chose to use an Airsense because it self-adjusts some settings as you use the machine. Also, 1800CPAP did pretty well on the presets they use for each machine sent out. I'm a techy guy though so I'm comfortable figuring stuff like that out and making my own adjustments.

They do exactly what they say they will do, and more.

"I recently needed a new CPAP machine. I wanted the same model as I have backup power and a cleaning unit for it and didn't want to have to buy a bunch of new adapters and such. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for, and at a better price than anywhere else I looked. It came with everything they said it would. It was pre-programmed. They even provided assistance with the prescription at no extra charge. Other places charge $99 or more for that service. Shipping was on time, and it arrived in excellent condition. I will continue to use them for supplies and machines in the future."

"I have 2 lots of 4 of these now, to be delivered to the UK and both have been delivered within 6 days of ordering, truly outstanding service.

The reason I ordered the 2 lots was I wanted to test the first lot, the bags are exactly the same as the original Sleep8 ones, only independently made.
