"I was very happy with the speed of the delivery and the player arrived within 5 days of ordering it from overseas. It was well packed and in good condition. I bought it as it was a multiregion player and it works as advertised. I was very impressed with the seller but am not happy with Sony as the internet related functions and Netflix do not work despite many attempts to get it working. I live in South Africa thus do not know if there is some regional limitations at play. I do however have a local Netflix account thus there is no reason that i should not be able to access it via the UBP-X800. I am able to connect to the internet and the player performed a firmware update via the wireless connection. Going through the menus confirms that I am connected to the internet but when i launch Netflix I get a message "Connection status cannot be confirmed. The service requested was not found. The server returned with the following reference code 48".
i have tried to download other firmware versions to load by USB but keep getting a "file corrupted" message.
Very disappointed in Sony as no solution is apparent on their web site - i have been working at this for a week now but without success.
If the internet services will not work in all regions then this should be stated by Sony.
I have no specific complaint about the seller - they delivered very quickly and on that basis I would rate them 5 stars unless they are aware of regional restrictions. My problem is with Sony"
