"I used the 3B Tech web site "configurator" to design a computer system. I wanted to make a few modifications to the default choices offered and called their customer service number. The person I spoke with was very helpful. One of my choices involved exchanging the default hard drive for the system with one that was not listed, but which 3B Tech carries on their web site. I purchased the drive separately from the rest of the order and included a comment on my order form requesting that the separately ordered drive be installed in my system. Delivery was by UPS ground ,which , while slow did get the system to me when promised. All I had to do was plug it in and I was up and running. No problems what so ever. I would wholeheartedly recommend this site to anyone seeking to order a computer system online."

"Bought the wrong memory (my bad). Delivery was speedy as well as an email reply telling me what I needed to do to get an exchange. Then things went dead in the water for about 2 weeks before finally getting it - worked fine.

In the meantime I bought a note book; and when I didn't get a tracking number right away, as I had come to expect from 3B, I called. Rep said the item had been oversold by one; but didn't know who the lucky one was. I volunteered to make the rest happy by cancelling the order.

I've always had good luck with 3B. Maybe it was Christmas that made them all of a sudden disfunctional.

Since 3bTech was kind enough to reply, I'll expound further. Back in the days when inventory accuracy was a big problem, I considered myself a P/IC specialist; so I was willing to cut them some slack regarding the stockout. But when the rep, who was polite and obviously trying to help, seemed befuddled as to the status, and didn't inform me of the upgrade policy, I made my decision. It was just a notebook, nothing to lose sleep over. I quickly found an equivalent notebook at a mom & pop computer shop for the same price."
