"I'm normally very patient when it comes to service hiccups, understanding that issues can occur now and then. However, my recent experience with this Blu-Ray rental service has compelled me to pen down a review expressing my dissatisfaction.
One of the main reasons I chose this service was for the promise of a hassle-free home entertainment experience. However, it has become an unanticipated source of frustration. The significant issue is that I've received multiple damaged discs over the past months, a staggering 8% of my total orders. As an ardent movie lover, receiving a much-anticipated title, only to discover it's unplayable, has been incredibly disappointing.
What truly astounded me, though, was the service's response to this issue. Instead of apologizing and improving their quality control, they've decided to limit my ability to request replacements. When a disc is damaged, I now have to place another order for the same title, and both orders count against my monthly limit. Essentially, I am penalized for the company's shortcomings in delivering quality products.
Moreover, the service has decided to place an arbitrary 5% threshold for reported problems before I can receive replacements again. I find this practice not just unfair but also a clear indication of the company's disregard for its customers' satisfaction. Instead of addressing the issue of sending damaged discs in the first place, they have chosen to put the burden on the customer.
This experience has significantly tarnished my perception of this Blu-Ray rental service. They have failed to deliver on their promise of a smooth rental experience, and their customer service response has been woefully inadequate and dismissive. I would strongly recommend potential customers to consider other alternatives that prioritize customer satisfaction and service quality over such punitive policies.

"Awesome site! The only place that I can rent both 3D Blu-rays and 4K Blu-rays! About the shipping delays these reviewers are whining about, as soon as you mail one back, order another! They don't even need to receive it prior. And technically you don't even need to do that. Like in my plan (2 discs at a time/10 limit a month), I could rent all ten discs at the beginning of the calendar month, and that way I can still reach my 10 a month limit even though it's more than two at a time. (You still have to be reasonable and return discs regularly though.) And any problems I had with them they fixed right away! My only gripe is that they don't carry DVDs (as some movies aren't on any Blu-ray format), but I also subscribe to DVD Netflix so overall I'm a very satisfied customer!"
"The Good... Yay: I've been renting from 3D-BlurayRental for over 4 months now and I must say its subscription service is currently the best way to rent physical 4K movies. Redbox has yet to stock 4K movies, and even then, they charge you per day. With 3D-BlurayRental, for $9 (2 rentals per month) you can keep the disc for as long as you like. I'm not a big fan of streaming 4K content due to bandwidth restrictions. Better yet, you can also rent video games if, for example, you are waiting for a movie to be released. Moreover, unlike other rental companies that require you to ship back a disc to get another one, 3D-BlurayRental allows you to rent a disc while you still have another one without any pressure to return the first one.
The Bad... Boo: Ridiculously long shipping times (both ways.) Titles are rarely in stock. Outdated video game selection, some of which are $14.99, meaning they cannot be rented via subscription. 3D-BlurayRental needs to stock more games and price all of them at $7.99 so subscribers can substitute 4K movies with games in case movies are out of stock. Because of the long shipping times and constant lack of titles in stock, it means if you want to cancel your subscription, you'll have to sacrifice a month's worth of service because shipping to and fro will almost always overlap with your subscription renewal date.

"This is a fantastic service. I've seen some negative reviews on here (I always go to the 1-star reviews first before I buy something) and all of them are about delivery time, and a monthly policy that they no longer follow. I was a brand new customer to them, and despite the fact that I paid for the service that only offers so many discs per month, they sent a lot of discs. And when I had a scratched disc they immediately sent me a replacement for free. I'm writing this review because I tried the only other service (the one that rents 4k blurays, hint hint...) and they were not only slow but they very rude and I just tried to be friendly and make friends and they treated me like I was dirt who wasn't even worth their time. Not a good sign for someone who is in business. Even when they were were being rude I gave them a huge thanks and they're response was pretty cold. Plus I took great care of their discs and they had nothing to complain about.
I know the 4k Bluray rental industry is a limited market and I wanted to say this is pretty much the only reasonable option they have. Their envelopes are a little wonky, but once you see how to open them properly so they're resealable, trust me you'll be fine with it. Keep some clean packing tape on hand just to make sure they don't lose their discs- those 4k discs are darn expensive."
"I was a little worried about signing up given some of the bad reviews, but there aren't really many choices to rent 4k discs, so I took the plunge.
AWESOME EXPERIENCE. Pleasantly surprised. Email communication with them is pretty quick, and I was able to downgrade my subscription when I figured out 10 movies a month is actually kind of a lot of movies - with basically no hassles.
The disc quality is great, and the one time I had a playback error, they shipped me out another disc the next day!
Extremely positive experience from me so far. I'm a fan. Been a great way to catch up on the bazillion Marvel movies before Endgame."
"I have no idea why so many bad reviews. I have been a subscriber for 2+ years and had no issue at all with their service or quality of discs. BY far this is the only site with so many 3D and 4K discs for rent, they release the new movies at the same time it hits market (although sometimes its on a short wait). Their model is similar to Netflix but they do not offer 3D/4K. Never had any issues with shipping (most of them were shipped within 4 business days)."
"The company rents out 3D dvd, that not easy to find for rent. But once you registered with your credit card, they don't let you simply get out - will keep charging your credit card month after month or get you money for the next month and refuse co complete an agreement to provide a service you were charged for. No arguments accepted. Some people writing, that they don't understand "where the bad reviews coming from". They coming from disoriented, misled customers which the "3D BlurayRental.com" squeezed a few dollars in exchange for hustles. I was the customer for about a year, paying my monthly subscription fee till decided to cancel. Once I did, they refused to complete the current monthly plan and simply banned me from logging into the site., That where my frustration came from."
"I don't know where these bad reviews are coming from, I think many are disingenuous; I know some of the complaints are exaggerated. I've been renting from them for almost 3 years, totaling about 25 discs in that time. I usually get the 2/month subscription plan for $8.99 which is about right amount for me which comes out to be $4.50/disc with no shipping charge!! Maybe some of the bad reviews are trying to receive and mail back too many discs in one month's time. All the subscription plans are only good for those discs that are less than $8/rental (anything above that has to be ordered separately). If the discs are, "In Stock", they usually arrive in 4-5 days. I have had a handful take a week to 10 days. I've also had a couple of these not get shipped or were lost in the mail, but that was rare, and when I contacted the store, they immediately shipped another out. Discs that have just made it to DVD rental market and/or are popular, may be labeled as, "Short Wait". So it can take between 7 and 20 days. However, the store states if you don't receive the ''shipped out" email by 20 days (NOT one month as one reviewer states), the rental is free. I had that happen once or twice, and indeed I was not charged when it arrived. Without this store, I'm not sure where I would get 3D discs at this price and with this selection. The only complaint is communication is by email only, which they say they do in order to keep prices down. However, they have always responded the next day and have been very courteous. Finally, I've never had any bad discs that wouldn't play. I once had problems with discs playing when I bought a new player, but it turned out to be the player! After I got a replacement player, I had no problems (maybe the reviewer who said the discs were bad should have his player checked out). Good service and inexpensive rentals within a reasonable time period has been my experience; I definitely recommend trying them, especially for 3D discs."
"If I had written this review a year ago I'd have given them four stars, but now with their policy of charging full price (as much as $20) for a large number of the most popular titles, even if you have a monthly subscription plan. They say this is because the movies are expensive to obtain, but I don't see how charging so much for a movie that no one rents does them any good. Anyway, it used to be an affordable way to watch 3D movies at home, but not any more."
"Like so many others, discs take forever to arrive. But here's the best part:
You get on an x-number of discs per month plan. They might take 3 weeks or even longer to ship. It is their own policy that your discs must arrive to you within a month or they don't roll over. So if you order 3 in July, and they don't ship until August, you DONT get your 3 from July still plus 3 more for August (ALL OF WHICH YOU ARE PAYING FOR ANYWAYS). You only get those first three from July, but they are counting them for August. They are basically stealing your money thanks to slow shipping and their ridiculous rule.
Again like others, rude customer service ensues. Stay away."
"I just setup a brand new 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray system and I wanted to experience it to its fullest by watching a 4K UHD Blu-ray disc. After an extensive research, I concluded that "3D-BlurayRental.com " was the vendor that carries the largest selection and has the most convenient rental system; just like Netflix, since Redbox does not currently offer this type of disks.
After reading all the reviews on this site, I saw some were positive and some were not, with a lot of the negative ones being highly emotional; but to a certain extent some were also consistent. So I setup an account with "3D-BlurayRental.com " without subscribing to any of their plans and just trying it by renting a single disk at a time. I rented " San Andreas " for $5.99 on July 30th, which was on a Sunday and received it on August 5th. This company uses a mailing system similar to Netflix with a tear-out flap that makes the self-addressed/postage free envelope reusable in order to return the disk. Also, just like Netflix, they send the disk in a protective sleeve but, with the addition of an outer hard sleeve for added protection. Upon opening the envelope I inspected the disk, which was in flawless condition without a single scratch and free of smudges. The disk also loaded and was read by the player without any delays, and also played to the end without any issues.
I returned the disk in the mail on August 8th and today, August 14th, I received a confirmation email that the rental had been received. The email states that I can also track the status of the return by logging into my account and going to "Check Rental Status"; where, in fact, also confirms that they have received it.
In conclusion, my overall experience on my first rental with this service has been very positive. Their website has a clean, simple and easy to navigate interface with all the rental categories clearly identified, and a very intuitive design to make your selections, add them to a "Wish List", Shopping Cart and proceed to the Checkout. You receive a confirmation email upon checking out, another one when the rental has shipped as well as when it has been returned. I also would like to note that new releases are $7.99, which is still a fairly reasonable rate giving the quality of the technology along with also having a good quality video system. "
"This place is awesome, they have every 4k and 3D movies out there. No other place I know has that format. They have been consistent in sending me the movies without any hassles other then waiting for them. The discs are in mint conditions. They even will go out of their way to get the movie I wanted and they were quick about it. I've rented from Netflix and Blockbusters in the past. The only improvement is the site needs to be worked on to offer more flexibility and user friendly but it gets the movies to me so that's all I really care about."
"All the discs they sent me are mostly bad and have a lot of scratches. My Samsung 4K blu-ray player have a lot trouble reading these discs. The movie would play for 15 minutes then stopped plyaing because of the scratches. You have to skip over several chapters of the movies (at least 15 - 30 minutes) to get the movie to play again.
Be warned! Make sure you check your credit card account because they would charge other hidden fees to their service. Even after I cancelled my account, they would continue to charge your card. Avoid these scammers at all cost!
And yeah, the discs would take 7-10 days to arrive. You will NEVER be able to watch new movies within 6 months of release because they don't have those in stock to ship to you. Your selection is movies released at least a year ago.

"I've had the same exact experience as the others who are frustrated. The discs take FOREVER to come, I mean like 10-15 business days, which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to take advantage of the 5 disc per month subscription plan. New releases are basically never available - I realize it says 'short wait' but this is is SO subjective. I did a full month and didn't get a single new release or cool movie to watch, only older titles that I've already seen before. WORST part? Like the others said, when you reach out to customer service, you'll receive a nasty response via email. That's right, no apology, no asking how they can make it right, basically they blamed their crappy service on ME. What? They threatened me with legal action as well, are you KIDDING ME? I said nothing rude or derogatory, this was completely uncalled for. Um, last I checked this is the good ole' US of A and if I don't get what I pay for, I'm entitled to state the details of my experience (ALL TRUE), in any forum that I choose. I will echo the reviews of the others who say STAY AWAY."
"I canceled the subscription, but they still charged my cc then expected me to return the discs within 7 days. Save your time and money, don't rent from this guy. There are many good company out there. Beware to deal with the guy. He will sent very unprofessional emails. "
