"I’m an author, so I was in need of some pens. I shopped around and had pens from previous companies that were good, but I wanted something more, you know?!
So I placed an order on Adler and the most amazing quality pens arrived with pens nib and stylus nib. They were a great price and they gave me chance to see and approve the artwork before the purchase was complete—which some companies don’t offer.
Because I had that order for my co-author and me, I decided to get some pens purely for me.
If I thought the first lot I got were amazing, these blew them out of the water. I’d chosen purple ones with stylus nib as well as pen nib (again) only they were slightly different to the first blue ones I had. They arrived today and I was blown away by the quality. They are superb.
You know what they say, you get what you pay for. If you want cheap pens, expect cheap quality. But pay a little more (and I do mean only a little) and you can get some amazing quality products.
I know now that I won’t be using any other company for my promotional items going forward.
I’ve placed an order for key rings today and some bottle opener key rings too. I can’t wait for them to come because I KNOW they will be top quality!
I’m also waiting on delivery of some notebooks with pens, with my logo on. I can’t wait to receive them!
Honestly, I couldn’t ask for better quality service than I get with my account manager. He truly cares about my wants and needs. He’s even managed to find something I wasn’t able to find elsewhere, something called the Flirt key ring. I cannot wait to be able to send all these items out to my readers.
My account manager goes the extra mile to make sure I am always happy with everything I receive.
So in summary; great customer service, excellent quality products, time to review the art work and approve it before it goes off to be manufactured. I couldn’t be happier. I’ve recommended them to all my author friends too. Because we all need someone we can rely on."
"I placed an urgent order for pens for an event. While the pens were nice and delivered on time (hence I am giving three stars rather than one), they arrived co-branded.
All the proofs and images on Adler's website did not have their logo - there wasn't any indication that it will be co-branded.
While I found that disappointing in itself, what was worse is that they acted as if it is all meant to be like that. Apparently, they do it all the time and no one complaints. Well - this is not something that should be the case for branded material supplier and other suppliers I have used in the past did not have such practice.
As I could not return the pens (due to lack of time to order new ones for the event), I asked for a discount. After a number of emails (all of them implying that they are in the right), I got an offer of 10% discount, which I find insulting. I paid the invoice in full as really it was never about the money for me, but rather the principle.
In summary, I would recommend finding other promotional material suppliers that do not use your money and marketing efforts to promote themselves. Also, just in case, always do state in your emails and when proofing that you expect there to be no co-branding - it's opportunistic practice that apparently is not totally uncommon (I spoke to an experienced Marketing Professional - who had that happen before and now always includes that statement in her brief and when agreeing).
