"I ordered a Nikon D750 camera with a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens from this business. The advertised price was $1,879.00. Shortly after I placed my order online, a sales rep called and told me there was a problem with the order and had to verify some things. He then said he had a better offer in a kit and that the camera I purchased was not as good as a deal he could give me. He said the camera came with no accessories, but he could give me the Presidents Day Bundle for $2299. I agreed to paying $420.00, thinking I was getting a kit like the other one on their website for about the same price. The order came and what I got was the original purchase for $420.00 more than the advertised price. I called the salesman he only argued with me, not letting me explain why I was unhappy with the purchase, and told me the other camera was a Korean model with Korean writing on it. I did some research before calling him and found the Nikon I purchased is made in Thailand. I also found the Manufacturers Kit number they list on their website is the same kit number you would purchase from Nikon USA. So, there was no good deal. This company simply used a Bait-And-Switch tactic to get me to pay more for a camera and lens package.
After calling the salesman back (Ted Patterson) to discuss the purchase, he proceeded to talk to me in a condescending tone. He was rude, not letting me complete sentences. Several times I asked him to please let me finish explaining to him why I was unhappy. He told me there was a “PAL” symbol on the item to indicate it was an international version and that is why he suggested the other one. When asked to point me to where the symbol was on the website he said he could not because his system was down. He then said to just pack it up and send it back. I told him I would then have to pay several hundred dollars in restocking fees and that there was nothing wrong with the camera. I just want him to credit me the $420.00 on my credit card. He then laughed and said there was nothing he could do and that I should talk to the customer service department. I asked to be transferred and he said they did not work on Sunday. I then informed him the website says they do work on Sunday and should still be there and he replied, “Well they are not here anymore.” He suggested I talk to Lisa Burberry, the manager, on Monday. So, I called on Monday and left a message with contact information. I have yet to hear back from them.
Just because you may have had a good experience in the past, that is no indication you will have one in the future so consumer be warned….stay away from them.
