"Do not do business with the company! They will attempt to bait and switch you even after you already place what appears to be a valid order. I ordered an LG OLED tv and after order was placed a salesman from the company called and said I ordered the Europe version with the incorrect power, even though nothing about this was stated on their website and it is obviously a US based company with the TV featured on their homepage. Salesman stated they would change my order to US version of TV but that would be $1,000 more. Pure scam artists, it is incredible that companies that do business like this can stay in business."
"I was very worried about ordering a [Canon 77D body only] from Abe's of Maine because of several of the reviews on this site and because it's not even located in Maine! (When I found out it was located in NJ, I was worried about gray-market merchandise without a U.S.A. warranty that sometimes occurs in the NY/NJ areas.) I was even more worried when I placed the order and received an email asking me to call them to confirm my order. (In their defense, they *had* called me on my cell phone, but I did not answer because I didn't recognize the number and didn't expect a call from anyone in NJ.) I called and was on hold for about 5 minutes before I got to talk to Jeff. Once I spoke to Jeff, I confirmed my order by giving the order number and thought that would be it and Jeff seemed about ready to end the phone call, but then asked, "Do you want the 1 hour battery or 2 hour battery?" Well, that's just crazy--I wanted the battery that comes with the Canon 77D, of course. I simply replied to Jeff, "I am not interested in an up-sells." That seemed to solve things and Jeff did not pressure me further to buy anything else. The next problem, though, was that my credit card company denied the charge because of their Fraud Protection. So, I had to confirm that I had placed the order and then I had to call Abe's of Maine back again (I was only on hold for about 1 minute this time) to tell them to reprocess the order. They did reprocess it, and it went through this time. The camera then arrived in 2 days by FedEx. I was surprised when I opened the box and saw a Canon "Kit" box that showed the camera body *and* a lens on the box. I was worried that they'd sent me the wrong thing and were going to insist that I send it back or use this as a way to force me to pay for a product that I did not want. However, when I opened the box, there was just the camera body, camera strap, battery, and battery charger; they had removed the kit lens. OK, I guess that is how they can offer the *amazingly* good price for this camera body. I then registered my camera immediately on Canon's website to be sure that the warranty was going to be honored. It was! So, although I was worried about a genuine U.S.A. warranty and I was worried about some sort of bait-and-switch trickery, all turned out well. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because (a) I had to call to confirm the order and got an up-sell sales job which is annoying and, (b) the box does not reflect what I actually ordered. Still, I was relieved to get what I ordered at an outstanding price!"

" Well most of the things that were said in the negative reviews are true. They do add insurance for shipping as an extra cost that supposedly is in the frequently asked questions. Even adding that they still at the best price. There are long hold times to get through to customer service. I didn’t have any issues with them trying to sell me anything else I think they would’ve had a hard time this is one of the best TVs available if not the best. All that being said I’m very happy with the service. If you can’t deal with some of the things that other people listed and you want to pay three or $400 more and that’s probably the route to go. They are not an authorized LG dealer however the manufactures warranty is still Ballard. I called LG to verify. Overall for me it was worth the minor inconveniences of difficulty reaching customer service and the somewhat hidden be to get a great deal on a great TV. Shipping around Christmas time was still within the promised time. I would’ve given them five stars except for the Hidden insurance fee and the difficulty reaching customer service. I was however trying to reach customer service probably their busiest time at Christmas so I’m not sure if that is always a problem "

"Ordered tv on line $2275.free shipping included! Later in same day received call that $300 Shipment insurance required before order ships. The rep was rude, boiler room call center attitude and tone. I was trapped as installation was already scheduled etc. He reduced charge $50 & upgraded to white glove delivery. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS INTENTIONAL DECEPTION....And I believe that FRAUD could be successfully argued. My purpose of sharing my experience is PUBLIC SERVICE...I was duped.

"Ordered a LG Signature C7 Series OLED55C7P TV for what seemed the best price around ($1759). Then got an email to "confirm" order, only to be informed that due to the "size and value" of the TV there is an extra almost $400 "handling and insurance" charge! Needless to say, I'm was amazed how the TV must have grown in size since I ordered it so they weren't able to mention this "charge" (=ripoff) on their website or when the order was placed.
I told them they can shove the TV where the sun don't shine (despite the size and w/o any extra fees), and will order it from my trusted "old" dealer which is what I should have done in the first place (I've been buying from them for 25 yrs without ANY incidence - after encounters like the one w/ Abe of Maine, it reaffirms the notions that it's worth spending a few extra bucks to receive knowledgable and most importantly, HONEST and forthcoming service)."
