"I purchased a 65" LG OLED Flatscreen. Read the fine print on TV's. What you order and pay for on the screen is NOT what eventually gets billed. Abes will email you and tell you that they require insured shipping on TV's. They state this is obvious in the literature. You can find it after they point it out but it's not obvious. They do this with a message that says "Thanks again for your order! We very much appreciate your business with AbesofMaine. Please call us at ***-***-**** EXT 272. We need to confirm your purchase. That's win they give you the bad news about the uplift for insurance, but not how long the shipment will take. I got an ear-full from a very poor CSR named Jeff Stevens for missing the fine print - obvious to him because he works this every day. If not for another, nicer sales rep, I would have (and probably should have) just cancelled the order.
For my area, Abe's uses AM Home Delivery. The TV was purchased on Sept 22nd. AM Home Delivery needs to consolidate loads for shipments to Virginia (via Charlotte, NC - Note: the routing was New Jersey to Charlotte, NC, then to Richmond, VA). It took 17 days for this purchase to make the 5 hour drive from New Jersey. You know none of this when you purchase the TV.

"I ordered an OLED TV from Abe’s on Saturday at what seemed a good price. I subsequently received an email confirming the “grand total” amount. Then, on Sunday I received a second email asking me to call and confirm the order. Uh-oh. I have seen this before.
The rep who handled this, Jeff Stevens, launched into fast talk about insurance, shipping, etc., and said I would need to cover costs that would boost the price by $300, or more than 20%.
I declined and said I had no interest in paying that. He then said Ane’s Was cancelling my order. I reminded him that is illegal, especially as they gave me a previous “Grand Total” price. He started arguing...loudly.
At that point I mentioned that, as a consumer reporter I am aware of what bait-and-switch is and what the laws are. That increased the tone of the verbal attack, Abe’s rep now accusing me of being a “Liberal,” among other things. He subsequently hung up.
I called back to stress I expected the TV at the price confirmed, but Mr Stevens launched into an attack on “fake news,” and a bizarre sort-of political and personal attack. This time I hung up.
Since then, he has called three times (so far). I disconnected when he went into another verbal assault and declined to answer the last two calls.
I have experienced bait-and-switch before but NEVER a situation where the store’s rep was in any form full-on abusive.
I can only warn any and everyone to stay completely away from Abe’s!"
"Second time I visit the site and second time I ordered an item, one of the less expensive site regarding camera items. "
