They won my business & loyalty after Mark & I spoke at length the following Monday. He was cheerful, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. We figured out a system for my HT & my budget, and he also went out of his way to educate without actually making me feel dumb... just a normal conversation, no hype or hard-sell. The items I selected (Marantz 3D receiver & a KEF 7.1 speaker system) are tonally matched. My KEF speakers are far, far superior to my previous speakers, which apparently I am not supposed to mention -- but they are a 4-letter word which starts with a B. I purchased "open box" items to save $, but they all look & sound brand-new to me. I am a happy customer. AC4L is solid. "

"Shop at your own risk. Ordered a refurbished Onkyo from AC4L, arrived DOA. They paid for return shipping, and sent another unit. Died within a week. At this point they ok'd another return. I was hesitant to order another Onkyo, and was directed toward a similar Marantz, but it wouldn't be in stock until the following week. I just wanted to return the 2nd dud, and think about other options. They refused to refund my original shipping charge, unless I wanted to 'exchange' it/ buy yet another unit from them.

"Received the first receiver which was clicking while watching movies, tv shows, etc. Returned to Accessories4less and they quickly shipped another one free of charge (they paid for return shipping and to ship the newly refurbished unit). Unfortunately, this second receiver plays audio for a some time and then drops out. I've checked all of my connections and can't seem to find a problem. Will continue to troubleshoot and then send the receiver to Onkyo for repair. Not too happy that I don't have a working receiver, but Accessories4less did the best they could with the situation. Won't be buying Onkyo again - may just trash this receiver and start over with a non-refurbished different brand unit."
"Excellent experience and responsive customer service. I ordered a refurbished Marantz receiver on President's Day.
The free shipping offer advertised on their website was not appearing when I tried to check out. I called the store, and immediately got an answer. The problem was solved. I really appreciate a place that has people who provide helpful advice and accurate information over the phone, as so many places have numbskull customer service agents who can't do a thing for you or provide helpful answer.
I then had the item shipped to my wife's workplace. Within a few hours of placing my order, I received an email enclosing shipping authorization for my signature.
I faxed the signed form back later that day, and the item shipped the very same day.
I received the receiver on the third day following the order, and it works perfectly.
Ordering expensive electronics over the internet, even now, is a little nerve-racking. So I'm glad everything went so smoothly, and I really appreciate the responsive customer service."

Refused to provide alternate unit because it was 2 weeks beyond their 30 day period (the policy is not clear and they should not sell such badly manufactured product)."
"A friend put me on to accessories4less.com many years ago, I bookmarked it in my shopping folder and never had any occasion to use them until now. I'm glad that I kept them bookmarked.
BOTTOM LINE: Very happy with my experience with AC4L and my purchase both. I will definitely use them again if the opportunity arises, but I will verify packaging/shipping method before placing my order (see details below).
DETAILS: I was shopping for a specific item: a digital coax cable for my home PC/TV audio gear (an old-school Hercules GTXP paired with Logitech Z-5500's).
I found plenty of choices to fit my needs at many online stores (but none of the physical stores in my area), but AC4L smoked everyone else in the best quality deals. I bought an MS272 (12ft) Acoustic Research Master Series on sale for 14.99. You can barely get an RCA cable at Walmart for that much, but AC4L had an arguably top-quality cable instead.
I placed my order for the cable very late on Sunday night, it was processed the next day, and I received it via USPS sometime that Wednesday.
The cable itself is the same one I expected, new, and in prime condition. It works brilliantly.
MY ONLY PROBLEM is with the shipping quality. The cable is actually packaged in a thick, hard plastic case which is so secure you actually have to UNSCREW two screws in order to open it. Crazy secure. Maybe it was because of this, but AC4L shipped it unwrapped in a paper USPS priority envelope. When I initially pulled it out of the envelope, I thought I had gotten a factory reject or used item because the case was so banged up, scratched, and looked so terrible.
Yes, I chose USPS. Yes, any damage enroute is on them technically and can be expected in such packaging. However, the cable inside was only undamged due to the manufacturer's packaging, not the reseller's, and I believe this is more than a little backward. I doubt Acoustic Research intended the case to be so sturdy in order that resellers could refrain from putting them in a box like the majority of such orders I've seen.
I do believe, or at least hope, that AC4L would have packaged it better if the manufacturer's package hadn't been as strong.
Overall, I would most definitely use AC4L again, with the only caveat that I would call them up and inquire about packaging before my order was placed just in case."
"Exceptionally poor customer service - faulty items shipped with clearly BASIC checks not performed on refurbished items and then bad service trying to get a quick replacement.
Bought from these guys for the first time as they had the best price on an Onkyo refurb amp. After plugging this thing into the 7.1 speaker system there was a noticable "crackle" on one of the channels. After swapping to a different amp, testing different speakers and swapping out the cable I knew it was the amp at fault. This would have been noticed by simply firing up the unit and testing anything - but clearly this had passed "quality control" and was sold on.
No effort was made to quickly swap out the unit, there was still a long (FedEX ground) delay getting the replacement which (thankfully) seems to work! Their telephone staff were unhelpful, and rude - hung up on my wife who was trying to get the shipping expedited so I actually had my birthday present on time! Very sad considering the original was ordered with ample time to arrive for my birthday. Would not recommend using this supplier - steer clear. I will be recommending to everyone who will listen NOT to use these guys."
