"I had never heard of AllStarShop before, but when I saw the ratings at ResellerRatings, I felt they were reputable.
After my experience with the company, I truly feel this is a great company to work with and I will purchase from them from now on. My experience with their customer service alone is the main driver behind my wanting to continue to shop with them.
I purchased a Sapphire Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition video card. This was a VERY DIFFICULT card to find (Platinum Edition), especially in the Retail package vs. OEM. I had been searching often over a few days and finally found AllStarShop had it for $699......granted the price was pretty high, but this is a hot item right now and most resellers are selling for close to the same price or even higher.
First, the product arrived in exactly 2 days from my initial purchase and was packaged very well. I was pleased with the speedy delivery and tracking was superb as well as shipping methods.
Initially I was when I received the package, because the box did not identify it as Platinum Edition (PE), except for a small white sticker on the side. This bothered me, because Sapphire's website has high res images of the PE box and PE is clearly identified as part of the printed graphics. Also, the box did not come with a 2nd game that all the review sites mentioned for the Sapphire X800 XT and XT PE, so that also bothered me. Finally, the box design from Sapphire has a window in the back where the video card is supposed to be visible to show you what you bought, but mine only showed the brown cardboard inside the box.
However, none of the issues I had was the fault of AllStarShop; it was all related to Sapphire. I had to contact their tech support to find out if 1. the product was truly the PE version; 2. why the video card was not displayed in the box window (identified as a mistake in Sapphire packaging); and 3. why I was missing the 2nd game. All those items were addressed with Sapphire and in the end it turned out I got the correct product and received the missing game.
Over a period of 1 week feeling skeptical and going back and forth with Sapphire and AllStarShop, the AllStarShop customer representative, James, was VERY FRIENDLY and VERY HELPFUL. He was completely understanding of my concerns and was even going to let me return the card without charging the restocking fee, because of my issues. I kept asking for James, because of his excellent customer service and total concern for the customer.
AllStarShop ranks at the top in my opinion. I highly recommend if you want reliable support and service."

I've dealt with the many of the upper crust online retailers (newegg, zipzoomfly, frozencpu, heatsinkfactory....) but never came upon allstarshop . I was looking to replace and aging video card (9500 Pro)with a Sapphire 'Toxic' X800 Pro. I searched the regular haunts and no one had one in stock. Most had no idea of when they would be receiving their next shipment. I put my request into a pricing engine and up came 'allstarshop'. I went to their site found they actually had the card in stock! Resellerratings gave them a good report so I placed my order on Thursday Dec 9th at 11am.
During lunch, I check my email for any confirmation. There was a email from Jenny in customer service at 11:30. I wanted to have the order delivered to my work and had not notified my credit card to list an alternative delivery address. A quick call to the card Co. to set up the address and a email back to Jenny to resubmit the order by 11:45.
That evening, I had a confirmation in my inbox that the card had shipped that afternoon. (Fed Ex ground)
Even though I do live in the same state as allstarshop, I was shocked the following day (before lunch) when the Fed Ex delivery dropped off my order.
Delivery in less than 24 hours!

"On July 31 I ordered almost $300 in fans, a powersupply, and a video card. After several days of the order not shipping, I recived a call saying they were out of one of the case fans I needed and would substitute a different one. Because of this the order did not ship until August 5. When I finally got the order, I found that the substitueded fan was the wrong size and could not be used. After installing everything else, I also found the graphics card was deffective. I boxed the card up and sent it back to allstarshop, on my dime. RMA status shows that when the RMA was recieved it was quickly tested and found defective, then I didn't hear a word form allstarshop. After a week went by with no word, I called up. I was told that the card had to be sent back to the manufacturer and they wouldn't have the card back for another 2 weeks. When I figure another week for ground shipping that would be 3 more weeks! By this time it was already August 27, almost a full month after I bought the card! I told the rep. I just wanted to have a refund. So after all of this inconvienience I was still charged a 15% restocking fee for somthing that shouldn't be restocked. All of this was given with little apology or caring. As of September 1st I have yet to see this refund in my bank account.

Total lost from dealing with allstar shop $32.90
Be shure to factor that in when you look at their low prices.

"Order 2 video cards 9600pro and 9700pro both sapphires. Both items shipped on time. Had to rma the 9700pro, and while they fixed the problem it took forever to get it back. RMA'd on 6/24 shipped it to them 3 days shipping. Got my replacement card 7/22, so I was out my card for almost a month. Good prices, bad service.
Update: Rma'd card is having the same problems, will update with what they do from here.
Update2: The RMA will be completed no later than 10/18/2004, now that is what I call fast service, NOT! "

"I was sent a defective product of which I returned to them immediately with a tracking number. It has since been over a month since this day. I have called and e-mailed many times and I get one of the following things:

2) A guy on the end of the phone saying that they're waiting for a replacement to be shipped by a company.
Granted, this kind of thing happens, but over a mo nth and counting? I can understand if I ordered something that is cutting edge, but this is a videocard that is dated (GF4 5700). What gives?!"
