"I purchased a pair of Intellinex Vibrating Gloves for my wife to help with her arthritis. After they read the directions and followed them they would not recharge. I called and it took 3 days for a RMA#. I returned them immediately and it took 22 days from the time they recieved them back to get my refund. I had to hound them every few days and got multiple excuses. I will never purchase from them again and would suggest you look for alternative suppliers for your needs. This isn't sour grapes, it has s just a heads up about how quick they take your money and how hard it is that get a refund for a defective product. "

I should've checked for complaints against allegro medical on-line before I decided to order from them.
there's even a dedicated website with nothing but complaints about this sole vendor.
it seems to me that at least half of the positive reviews here are actually posted by allegro shills, posting on behalf of a-m. the rest of the positive reviews seem to be regarding cheap, trivial items available in every pharmacy anyway and for much less on amazon [however, allegro medical sells as a vendor on amazon as well so check which vendor is selling a particular item you're ordering or you might go through the same wringer there].
I'm about to take these folks to small claims court because I'm tired of all the half-wit customer service reps giving me the runaround with their dumb 'I understand' manner yet doing nothing towards refunding me over $430 they took from me. living off a meager monthly disability income this amount is a huge hit to my budget [over 50% of my income]; additionally I had to spend another $450 + soon after, to order the correct item and have it shipped via 2nd day delivery option by another vendor. this is all out of my pocket, not med insurance money.
I've dealt with a least 10 med supply vendors [erring on the conservative side with that number] since becoming a quadriplegic in 1990.
allegro is hands down the absolutely worst of all among those.
today is october 23, 2014.
i've ordered a [$407.20] wheelchair cushion back on august 25, 2014 and paid $23 + extra for 2nd day delivery because my reg cushion broke and I needed a replacement asap.
a lack of proper cushion for a long term para/quad can literally have deadly consequences within a year or so [skin breakdown - pressure wound - bone/blood infection - then either/or: an amputation and sepsis - death... been there done that, except the very last part.
the cushion didn't arrive until over 2 weeks later but the worst problem was that they sent me a wrong, completely different, cheap model. a useless flimsy one sans the necessary features to prevent bed/pressure sores, the insufficient seating support of it notwithstanding...
in fact, I wound up getting a nasty pressure sore wound on my tail bone as a result, 1 week after I ordered it because I had to keep using my broken cushion [which no longer had the gel insert] since the 'expedited shipping' took over 2 weeks and then I never even received the correct model.
as soon as the wrong item arrived I started the return process, which is a huge pain because allegro cs simply doesn't reply to any order follow up e-mails.
I won't even go into the incompetence and lack of basic phone skills/ethics on part of most of their reps I've dealt with but it's abysmal and their manner is downright offensive.
I finally was able to get them to send me the return authorization/label [btw, the item ordered goes back to neither allegro nor the manufacturing factory, it goes to some third party shipping hub in california - which further complicates the issue].
I've sent the cushion back on the day I've finally received my shipping rma number/label [at my own additional cost] and - according to my shipping tracking # - the returned cushion was signed for upon delivery at that return processing center on september 19th.
I've been waiting on - and trying to receive - my $431.15 refund ever since, so as of today for about 32 days since they've received the returned item, despite the allegro medical's stated policy for refunds to be issued within max 30 days of receiving the returned item. keep in mind that I've placed the original order - hoping to receive it within a couple of days - about 2 months ago.
I've been promised the refund a couple of times already but after the deadline comes and goes without the promised refund, I call back, speak with another random customer service rep and get another runaround. just happened again today [after I was promised last week to have my refund by yesterday the latest] and now I was told it'll take another 5 business days.
this is starting to look to like a legalized robbery and imo these folks shouldn't even be allowed to continue their commercial business activities on-line any longer.
I'm looking into contacting folks from other forums who were also scammed by a-m and subsequently writing a bunch of collective complaints to various figures/organizations within the law regulating sector to at least have this vendor investigated and put under a close scrutiny.
meanwhile, I caution anyone to look at their relatively good score here with great suspicion and google this vendor's name for other similar type of info sources, then read the many typical complaints they regularly receive by real people with actual profiles.
