"Had an overall lousy experience with their customer service. If you aren't a small business or company, DO NOT order from Allied. There are much cheaper, better options for personal orders. As others have stated, the way they charge for shipping after the fact is sneaky and underhanded. My own troubles began when I called to cancel an order I had placed. The service rep was kind enough and told me the order had been cancelled. 24 hours later, I receive an email that the item had just been shipped out. Why would the service rep give me false information? If it was too late to cancel, she could have told me. I can only think of this as a result of pure incompetence. I called back and was issued a return number, the shipping for which I will have to pay (and any possible restocking fees). Since the order was only about 50 dollars, I'm thinking of just keeping the damn thing, since sending it back will cost half that much. "

"Allied was a good vendor until they got a new accounting system. I have been working with them for around 6 years.
Now the price online doesn't match the Invoice Price which is a accounting or purchasing nightmare. So when you place your order online and you match the prices up with your PO. then the Invoice comes and the prices are different, which means you need to take more time and change your PO to match the invoice.They have to be making money by rounding the price up.
I talked to my rep and she said that the new system doesn't go to 3 digits after the decimal, but online it does. I asked her to give me the number to the corporate office,but she refused to give it to me. telling me that it wouldn't make a difference. "

"The customer service that I received from Allied Electronics was outstanding. i had difficulty using my Pre-Paid VISA and after communication with the Canadian branch via E-Mail and telephone, they forwarded me to the Corporate branch in Texas. They were able to rectify my purchase issue via E-mail and then even called me to manually enter the credit card information over the phone, to eventually get a order number. I wish to specifically reference the 3 individuals that went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me.

" This looks pretty much like the same scam I ran into with pay pal here in New Jersey. I ordered $14 worth of merchandise and they charged me $35. They haven´t shipped anything yet, no update on the order, and I can¨t log into my account. They have a sales office in Cherry Hill and I? going to lower the boom on these jokers. This is Interstate Commerce, the FBI has juristiction in this. I delt with this sort of scam before, and always win when I go to the Attorney General. of whatever state they are in and file against them. I? calling my bank in the morning stopping

PS....The nightmare is ALMOST over.Bank charges went from $42 TO $26 when everything was said and done. had to call the local sales office and go to my bank branch office to find out what the real invoice amount was. Received the order 7/10...of the 3 items ordered, one was a lighted switch for a customer computer case, which had the switch face and the internal light assembly missing !! Called back to get a replacement part shipped, delaying the finish of the project at least 5 day?.

I spend $100? of dollars each month on line on products that I need and can get these parts anywhere on line, not worth the grief. What you have here is called ´parking"of your money based on the fiction that they cannot calculate shipping in advance.Nonsense,every supplier I deal with can quote to the last penny shipping charge? All this just amount? to is a interest free loan to Allied at your expense.

I place the first order with USPS fees at $5.50 they charge me $22.20 of shipping fees, i call them in order to cancel this order , they accepted but the day after they sent the parcel, i had to go to the bank to dispute the transaction.
With a $10 order, i ended with a $46 bill, a rip off.
Their system is like a fraud, you never know how much you are going to pay, because they write "pending" in order to hide fees, keep away from this company !

It turns out that they attempted charging my credit card almost $10 more for shipping an item that weighs less than an once and this caused credit card declines.
